| Takamura's match was so hype, I forgot Ippo had a match! This was a perfect time to fit in a quick first round knockout for Ippo though. I wonder what the time on that KO was. Time for Takamura to kick some ass! |

This director is getting on my nerves, nishimura please come back and bring tsuneo too! And i hope to god they end with the Hawk fight and don't animate the backstory arc which follows, they should just make that into an OVA and have the old team handle it. Overall 3/5 There's always that one FUCKIN ANNOYING guy who read the manga and has to always complain about the pacing of the anime. smh Anyway, that was a great build up. This fight gonna be legendary! |
| Holy fuck, the buildup for this fight is insane. Hawk seems like the first opponent in the series that's just straight up fucking evil. Pretty much everyone else has either been just a decent guy or had some sad reason for fighting, but this dude is just psychotic. Hopefully the next episode isn't just locker room bullshit that ends right when the fight starts or something |

| Great ep, the buildup for Takamura's fight vs Hawk has been awesome so far. Can't wait to see how it unfolds. Mamoru is perfectly fine and ready for it. Long time since Ippo fought. Looks like that was a quick KO. He's not the main light of this season definitely. :P But I love what I've seen so far. |
| I can only blame the reporters who said "fighting pose", "go below each other chins" I love the seiyuu of Hawk so much, he act all of that like nothing He must be really embarrassed deep down xD I mean he did tell his room number It's pretty much easy way to beat him in his room But no one will think about beating him up in his own room :P That jaw punch.. reminds me of Miyata and Ippo 1st spar Fastest round Ippo has ever did.. right? xD |

Can't believe world champions can be so different, like Ricardo Martinez was a perfect gentleman, but this asshole is some kind of piece of shit. Really proud of Ippo, setting the stage forTakamura to execute Bryan. |

| Ippo quickly upheld his end of the bargain and finished his 3rd title defense in a 1-round KO! Here's hoping that Takamura will be able to give Bryan Hawk what he goddamn deserves after everything he's done to provoke his opponent and all of Japan. |
