Create a thread with the picture where Nanami laughs and hold her hand in front of her chin and write: "Sena, look what I just received! | To those of you saying that this was a filler and it was irrelevant...let me tell you that Utena is a character-driven anime and NOT as much plot-driven, so the filler argument is invalid. It's a "Nanami plus duel" episode not a filler. |
| Aside from being absolutely hilarious (Nanami's mooing broke me), is it completely unfounded for me to think that Nanami's gradual transformation into a full-blown cow over the course of the episode is supposed to be an allegory for how people gradually assimilate society's values into their own sense of self and become assimilated into society as a result? |

| As someone else mentioned the Dona Dona song used in the episode is actually a Yiddish song from the 1940s. You can look up a lot of interpretations online, but I think this one is especially interesting in the context of this episode, with the calf representing mortal desires such as wealth and fame. It's quite similar to how Nanami was acting in the episode, wanting to be popular and to own the most sparkly and expensive jewelry. You'd think this interpretation is a reach for such a seemingly silly episode but imho, there's just so much symbolism in Utena I highly doubt they used this song without realising the connotations. |
| I was surprised that Nanami didn't know the brand at the beginning. Also, there's no way that Anthy calling her cow Nanami and knitting a red sweater are a coincidence. That girl is too sketchy, I swear. |

| Yeah, I'm convinced Ikuhara has a terrible sense of humor now. It's like that one guy you know who thinks he's funny/clever but makes terrible jokes, and the only time you laugh is because of how awkward the joke is rather than because it's legitimately funny. I still thought the episode was okay because at times the strangeness went full circle and became somewhat amusing in a meta sense. |
| How sheltered is Nanami that she didn't know what a cowbell was? Furthermore, how dumb is she that she couldn't see how ugly the thing looked on her? The whole "Sebastian Dior"/"Cow-bastian Dior" thing was pretty funny. This filler might've been made to fuel the transformation fetish of someone on the production team. This is something I'm...very okay with. Other then that, this episode gave me a sort of nostalgic feeling with the whole "you reap with you sow"/it being an almost self-contained morality-based tale. It feels like something they would show on Cartoon Network around Halloween time. |

| I feel like this story is going nowhere. Sure there is a lot of farfetched symbolism that's chucked into the story, that has some weak link to the story. Am I supposed to care? And what is with all the incest, lesbian, animal cruelty,asskissing, fanaticism, melodramatics, slapping and overused repetition of songs, duels and scenes? Honestly I don't get it. Why are you showing me all of this? Even if at the end, I read a forum explaining everything, I'm still not sure if I'm sold, and I'd be wondering if I should've dropped this series because it's not resonating with me. Quite boring at the moment, I get the story, I just don't know where all this extraneous information overload is heading towards. Say I finish this series, can I bring myself to rewatch it, just to tie up all the details? No. I can't. I can do that with Serial Experiments Lain, FLCL (relatable themes of puberty, philosophising of what it means to be an adult, being honest with your emotions, how people cope with unhappiness etc.) Ghost in the Shell, Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu etc. But not this. I am bored out of my mind just watching this the first time. Yes I got the message that some people would wear anything so long as it's a brandname. Totally exaggerated though and has no substance. If we're talking about famous brandnames that are somewhat gimmicky, it's not that bad, and believe or not, the majority of people do stop wearing things if they get ridiculed for it. The humour is on point though, and it's a great filler episode in itself, but the satire felt very forced. E.g. Crocs, a lot of people hated it even though users say it's very comfortable, durable and cheap; uggs also have a negative connotation in my country. Sorry for the negativity, I really hope the show starts getting interesting, and I'm glad some people are finding this show exhilarating.  |

| This episode is in the wrong place. Either move it prior to episode 14 and 15 or post the current arc. Kinda breaks the atmosphere that the anime built until now. Unless this was all part of her brother's plan to get rid of the head of the council. |

| After knowing what kind of twisted person Nanami is, "filler" episodes focused on her misfortune for comedic purposes aren't even entertaining anymore. Not that they were any good in the first place tho. |
