I don't recommend eXalpha's sub. It was absolutely atrocious.

Ok, I guess it might be. Just checked quickly. I don't mind because of my Japanese.

It was in English and understandable to the point this OVA needs to be.

Aah that was ugly, whatever...
And just in case - contrary to what can be read in credits, I have nothing to do with this sub (my nick is not unique enough, huh?)

I know it's been awhile, but some people from the bakabt forums and I are going to try and fix these subs for a new encode. Among the things that will be done:

* Re-style to something more sensible
* Fix timing and split lines when necessary to avoid 3-liners or lines that stay on the screen for ridiculously long amounts of time
* Fix the broken English, add honorifics in
* Improve the translation to the best of my abilities; it might not be perfect, but it should be better
* Remove useless TL notes, by which I mean all of them

Can someone please post the fixed OVA sub by Monti to youtube? I've been having trouble downloading that particular file. Not to mention, most people aren't even aware that the sub has been fixed, so posting it to a streaming site will really get the word out.

I saw what I think were the Monti-fixed subs. However, they didn't fix much beyond some of the basic spelling/grammar problems in the original subs. The mistranslations, missing lines, bad styling, poor timing, and other major problems were still present. But I've finally gotten around to finishing my release, so check the usual places for it. I wish it hadn't taken so long, but working with those subs can really sap one's motivation. Working on Pretty Cure Splash Star was much more alluring than this.

Thank you Zalis for posting a drastically better sub to the first OVA. The Shin Koihime OVA has decent subs, but they tend to run together and are somewhat annoying to read, so if you are thinking about future projects, I'd like to recommend that.
