Geez, it's been so long I don't even remember all the character's names. I'm dreading the Shinsengumi coming back. I could barely remember their names even back then. :D So we had a Naruto and Evangelion reference this time, that I actually caught anyway. Who would I pick to be the new heroine had Kagura really left with Umibozu? Well it's tough since Sachan and Otae, the two jockeying for the position in this episode, are my current favorite girls besides Kagura herself. I definitely remember wanting Sachan to nab Gintoki, and purple IS my favorite color, so...I guess her. Glad she's gonna be around next episode too. :D Also, purely coincidentally, the Gintama wiki claims this episode originally aired on February 15, 2007. So exactly 10 years ago...tomorrow. Spooky, but on that note...Happy Valentines Day everybody! <3 |
| I loved the crotch jokes.. I laugh at Orochimaru jokes too also I love Sacchan, she has combo crown indeed. a ninja and glasses. it would be triple crown if she had cat ears and anyone can't defeat her as heroine. |

| The Gendo impersonation was too much, lmao. I've seen way too much NGE to ever be able to separate that voice from Gendo. And Gendo talking about hourglass figures and "what makes the perfect anime heroine" makes me feel like I'm in crazyland. |

| We got to the touching stuff in the previous episode, now we're here for the humourous stuff, and as always, it was really enjoyable It was really funny that Kagura was pretending that she left to her home planet and was just watching everybody secretly, and it was funny that she kept getting mad at the fact that Gintoki kept talking about his crotch The competition between Catherine, Otae, and Ayame for being the main heroine was also pretty funny, but it's obvious that no one can replace Kagura Overall, I really enjoyed this episode, definitely excited to see what's next! |

| Now i want to rewatch a certain South Park episode when the main boys began a competition for choosing the fourth friend after Kenny and Butters... this was an equally funny japanese counterpart, also with a great abrupt and lampshaded ending plus some very long preview for the coming soon plot. As everyone else i lost it when Madao became Gendo, and wasn't even aware of these two characters having the same original voice actor. |

| Even funnier than the first time, with Kagura commenting his former coworkers and friends in hiding, Catherine straight up insulting her, Shinpachi singing bad karaoke of Chome Chome (and his revealed backstory of dressing up in female clothes, forced by Tae that wanted a sister), Gintoki talking as a manga producer about which kind of character should join his group. No, Sa-Chan, ditching glasses will only make things worse, and by the way, you're talking to Madao. Whatever, Kagura is back. Ops, runtime ended too soon so there's still time for a new plot, with possibly the funniest minutes ever seen with Sa-Chan, both as a waitress and Ninja "trainer". RUN. SAVE ELIZABETH. |
