I just dont know what to say.... this is probobly one of the most unexpected plot twists in anime,manga,moves or books that i'v seen. This chauth me completly of guard. I'm somehow sad that Anna didn't even exsisted, but i'm much more nicely mindblown and satisfied. It all makes sense now,that's how he have esceped the fire, and that is the meaning of the 2 monsters in the story book. But i wonder about the case in the begining , where the doctor's who took the 2 twins from Tenma's qriadiction made them see each other. We haven't seen the scene but we have seen the doctor's and Tenma's reaction. Plese if someone have explanation about that case to quote me. I took to long to write this coment,going strait to chapter 88 xD

What a plot twist lol. It would have been interesting if Anna and Johan were the same person (which they can't be since they appeared separately from the very first chapters). Since when did he start disguising as her? It's creepy to think that he might have been pretending to be her in previous scenes as well.

My fucking God. I was caught so much offguard. My mind was now blow to millions pieces! Damn you Urasawa you mad lad! You are God! Why are you soo good at story telling!?






Btw im reading Monster for 3 days stranght & i cant let go of the story because it is soo addicting! 10/10 bc of this chapter. Gosh cant wait to see the climax!

Holy shit i actually considered that a possibility, when the policemen died from poisonous candy, but i still didn´t believe that it was actually the case.
Great chapter, actually weird that he started a volume with that chapter and it wasn´t the last chapter of the previous volume.

this was an awesome reveal lol. I can't help but feel but for the poor guy for getting tricked

I was expecting this or Tenma being Joahan. However it still managed to make my heart skip a beat with Johan's face in there.

Now it makes sense when several characters said that both Johan and Anna looks the same, because they are twins... Johan was able to cross-dress without any consequence, impressive!! What a guy, he knows how to get out of everything, and deep down, much of what happens makes a lot more of sense now. I would also say that there is a reference to Osamu Tezuka's MW here, conspicuously.

I... what?? My mind is blown. What an incredible plot twist, did not see that coming at all... Even though I could have! The murder of Perdroff, the poisoned candy, and Suk saying that he feels like he can tell her (him) everything, just like Karl Neumann...

Bloody bonkers!!! I'm shocked but I'm strangely not surprised since last chapter I really dug deep to consider the possible route of Johan impersonating his sister. I feel like this is the reason why he wanted to see her so long ago when she was being captured by the two heroin cops. What a freakin reveal though, that panel with Johan lifting his head up from the sink was pure evil basking in delight. So good. And the thing with this reveal is I wonder how long has he done this for? They definitely were together by the library where it burned down in Munich, but how did he see her face to know what she looked like? Maybe Lotte is somehow intertwined in this knotted thread and is making Johan's conquests more realized? Such a good chapter and can't wait for more.

I knew some big revelation was about to come when "Anna" was heading back home, but this.... When i saw that page i just burst out laughing. My mind didn't even consider it in the least lol, even though the beginning of the chapter gave a real big hint when that guy said he couldn't tell if the kid was a boy or a girl.
I wonder however if Tenma is actually considering this possibility, that Johan could be pulling this trick.
And i'm very relieved Nina/Anna (the real one) didn't go down a dark path.

Now i hope those new members are just suspicious of Suk because of his involvement with the victims, and not because they're actually other conspirators of the former Czechoslovakian police.

I felt a chill down my spine now, wow how did I not realize that even with so many signs, several deaths, the poisoned sweets.
I just got it into my head that Anna had become someone who fights for justice and that's why she took these criminals' lives and I forgot that there was someone else who would easily do that.
And who better than Johan to put all the good cards in your hands but dress like a woman? I'm totally speechless, I wonder if he has a woman's voice.

I have never commented on something like this before but I have to after reading this chapter. I've seen pictures of Johan before dressed as a girl so I knew it would happen eventually but this caught me completely off guard and I was in shock. I was literally speechless and got chills because in the previous chapters I was like no way Anna was the one killing these people it just didn't make sense but now it all does. This is one of the greatest chapters I've read in a long time. This put the manga over the top for me.
