Has anyone or is anyone planning on taking summer classes? I did two in 2007 and took Chemistry last summer. I wanted to take another one, but there's nothing at the local community college that I need for my degree or interests me.

I usually take summer classes to fulfill general elective requirements. I'm planning to take either a geography, art, or an interdisciplinary history/religion course this year.

I took calculus, it was condensed into two months. The class was small and it was pretty awesome.

No summer classes for me, although at this rate, I'll graduate in 6 years instead of 4 :\

I will be taking summer classes for sure! It will help me to graduate faster. Also, I can't find a job so it would be better for me to stay in school.

I think he meant Econometrics...it's basically the use of statistics and quantitative data for economic research.

This summer I'm going to be taking:

Cost Accounting
Intermediate Accounting I
Investment Analysis
Real Estate principles (Worthless class I'm being forced to take)
Corporate Finance Theory

Yeah that's right! Five 10 week session upper division core classes worth 20 units total during summer. :[

I'm a firm believer in that summer is meant either for R&R or more R&R!

I'm with Sawcy. Though, if I want to graduate ahead of schedule as planned, I'll definitely have to sooner or later. I sincerely hope it's "later".

My last day of English is tomorrow. I'm not exactly ambitious enough to take a lot of summer school classes, but this one was much easier and about 700 dollars cheaper at community college.

Took summer classes in English and Math last summer, but I was a rising freshman, so it was more of a "get adjusted to college life" thing and the credit was minuscule. I'll most likely be taking an intensive Chinese summer class next year... which will be torture, but it'll definitely help me improve.

Taking my first pair this summer in two short weeks.

Any tips? Are they easier? I really hope they are!

Last summer 2012 I took Physics, it was an awesome class with awesome seatmates, classmates, and awesome instructor. I'm planning to take classes again on summer 2014, maybe an Economics class. Not looking forward to it, I really don't have that "appetite" for required minor subjects. >_<

Second-year architecture major here by the way. :D
