I didn't cry I just can't feel it I know this is really a sad story but I can't help it. I didn't cry while watching Ano Hana either. I don't know why everyone bursts out crying while watching this.
I need something more sad something like Hotaru no Haka

I have to say that rewatching this now, I can tell it's a VN adaptation. A lot of the scenes and transitions feel rushed or disjointed.

feel gates have opened all the same ;-;

With Nagisa always around I guess they are doing their own version. At first I thought it weird but now I'm starting to think it may work better in the end.
There were many great moments in novel but also many dull ones and I bet they are trying to fix that. And slowly getting all characters together to make them friends is also good thing (as apposed to VN where each girl had its own route, more or less)

Anyway, next episode, feelz approaching...

I didn't actually cry during the episode despite it being hard hitting. I'm guessing the anime gets a lot sadder than this? Regardless was still a really good episode and Fuko is still my favourite character.

Maybe I'm cold hearted, but I'm not seeing or feeling what you guys are. To tell you the truth I found the whole Fuko arc to be rather dull and boring. And I really don't think it's me, because other similar animes like Anohana, Tokyo Magnitude 8 & Kanon specifically Makoto's arc all have very similar story lines and have managed to bring me to tears.

But Cannad or at least this arc of it is missing something. I think it's a combination of a few things actually. Part of it might be the shock factor or rather the lack thereof. The realization of the characters plight wasn't as sudden or dramatic here as it was in the other shows. Fuko also doesn't have a romantic connection to the main male lead or at least not a strong one or any other character for that matter. The person who was closest to her while she was conscious was her sister but she has no idea what's going on with her and we only see things through the perspective of a couple of her classmates who befriended her rather hastily and how know her for a very short period of time. Yeah it's sad that the memory of her is disappearing, but it feels shallow and somewhat fake in comparison to the raw and visceral emotions felt by the characters in the other animes I have referenced above. This is because they have a much more established relationship with the characters in question and it's only through their hardship and suffering that I can understand how horrible and sad something really is. But exactly how long did Tomoya & Nagisa know Fuka for? Not very. Like I said it just feels contrived in comparison, maybe if I had watched Clannad first I could sympathise more with them but I didn't and also not after all that I've been through and seen in my own life. Overall it just hasn't been portrayed as well nor is it anywhere near was interesting as the others imo.

Secondly it just irritates me how Tomoya is going about things. For instance how he's getting mad at people forgetting about Fuko when it's not their fault - there is literally nothing they can do about it! It also annoys me how he just stands their and watches her and then trys to play it off like everything is ok. He's treating Fuko like she's an idiot. Yes she is naive but c'mon, she can obviously tell something is messed up even if she doesn't know what. It's only going to make things all the harder when when she does find out/realize what is really going on.

Aside from that Fuko's was basically given a miracle, for all intensive purposes she shouldn't be able to exist and communicate as she is considering the state her actual physical body is in. She got a chance to do something important to her that she never could of done while she was fully conscious and that was a blessing, really something to be celebrated. She's lucky she got that time, because most people actually make that all people lol, can't do anything when they're unconscious.

Don't worry about it too much, usually people either love or hate this arc. It was probably my favourite in this season, but I totally can see some of its flaws, which surely can bother others more.

But still, to be honest, I don't think that Tomoya was really "mad" at others. From my perspective something just broke inside him, because of his own frustration, for not being able to do anything to stop it. And that's why he reacted a bit angrily. It was a very human-like reaction imo.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the rest of the series more!

So, um, is there a reason they don't have Fuuka move objects and write messages and use ouija boards etc to prove to people, especially her sister, that she exists in this state?

I cried when Fuko finally
I don't know why I was so touched by the episode. Even though the pacing was long and repetitive in some ways (it could have been half an episode shorter at minimum), I feel like I was able to connect with Fuko eventually.

This episode was nice. A few moments were heartbreaking, like when Fuuko's parents couldn't see her. At first I thought this Fuuko arc was pretty long, but during this episode it 'clicked' somehow. I am bracing myself for the next episode as I feel something big is coming up.

Hope it gets better after this annoying Fuko arc.
I didn't like her in the beginning and I still don't.

I feel bad for the other characters who like her, but I'll be cheering when she goes away.
I can't feel bad for a character I hate. I hope there aren't any more evil tsunderes
in this anime like Fuko.

Nagisa's mom was able to make me feel emotional way more than all the times Nagisa cried.

The pacing for Fuko is kind of slow, and it was already expected that Fuko will indded disappear sometime soon.

Decent episode. The emotions felt forced.

I don't get why people would think this is a harem. Okazaki and Nagisa are the clear endgame unless one of the other chicks suddenly starts getting close to him. When is the Fuko arc going to end? I don't hate it, but it's been dragging on for quite a bit. Also this reminds me of Bunny Girl Senpai.

Hoo-kay, it's getting really good, I can see why MAL affinity scores predicted I'd give it a 9/10. I think I'm finally hooked. It failed the 3 episode rule miserably, but I can confidently say it's an 8 or higher now.

Seems like whoever goes to see fuko in the hospital is forgetting about her

Also, the next episode is probably the last episode of the fuko arc.

Clannad is kinda slow paced but it's fun to watch

It's just episode 8 and this is already one of the best stories I've seen animated. The concept that this title wouldn't be as successful if it was released today doesn't hold much water in my opinion.
