Can anyone elaborate on some of the episode titles and how these poems are shown in each episode.

For example...

Episode 1 - Now the flower blooms
Nanywa Bay, now the flower blooms, but for winter. Here comes spring, now the flower blooms.

The opening poem to Karuta and rightfully the opening poem to the show. This poem is about Chihaya who has been in the shadow of her sister her whole life and is now coming to life and blossoming with this new passion of hers.

Episode 2 - The Red That Is
Impassionate gods have never seen the red that is the Tatsuta River.

The Tatsuta river is named after a goddess Tatsuta-hime, who is said to be a tomboy, funnily enough just like Chihaya and I think the passion Chihaya shows in this anime is very vivid, again a very appropriate poem.

Episode 4 - A Whirlwind of Flower Petals Descends

There are a few varying translations of poem 33 so I have left it out. But it is essentially about cherry blossoms falling from the heavenly sky. For me Chihaya is the blossoming tree making class B and then Class A, and the whirlwind of flower pettles is the effect she is having on those around her in particular Arata and Taichi.

I actually feel bad not paying more attention to the poems while watching this series. I guess Kanade did warn us. :(
