DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Overall, it was a little more different from the game than I thought it would be. It was enjoyable however. I'm glad they used the same music from the game though. Plus, there was that subtle watercolor/sketch touch in some scenes, which was nice. Oh, and that adorable ED. <3 |
| Agreed, that sketch-like overlay is a nice touch - at first I thought there was something wrong with the video, heh. Looking forward to the next episode. EDIT: Heh, just saw that Fukuyama Jun's in this as Maximilian. Wonder what voice he'll have in Valkyria. EDIT2: He sounds like Lelouch/LEOPARD. Fitting for that character. [Source 2:16-3:08] |

Subs haven't been released yet (I hear Ayako's subbing it), but there are plenty of raws out there. Thus, I watched it raw just to get a general feel for it and some auditory recognition practice for my language course. |

| Just saw the raw...C'mon...someone sub this! Ayako, please...sub this... Although I was actually thinking that Sony would license this...but in a way, I feel relieved that it's not. But still... Anyways, this is pretty awesome. I saw the watercolor painting effects on the shades of some figures here and there. I really like where this is going for a start. Some scenes weren't shown that were from the game, but they were replaced with other scenes not in the game. |
| If you ask me, it was an awsome first episode of the show. And I am a bit relieved, because some of the promomaterial didn't look that promising. Especially the character artworks. The style of the game still looks better, though. The only one thing that bothers me is the design of Isara and her ridiculous huge eyes. But over all great animation, great music (taken from the game bgm) and a good first impression. |

| I'm a little disappointed on the minor characters they chose from squad 7, I was hoping for more of my favorites from the game to show up but only 3 did. I never really played Susie so I don't have her full Bio but she's supposed to be a rich girl who isn't used to outside life. |

| Ah well...at least we have Marina! But they should have Vyse and Aika, I didn't see them...and neither did I see the Medic/Fina. Somehow, I imagined Maximillian acting so much like Lelouch as a tactician and such. |

| Just finished watching the raw of Ep1 It's not bad, but I kind of wish they kept the character design more original. I don't remember Isara's eyes are that huge. I also like how they used the original sound track from the game as BGM for the anime. The opening by HIMEKA is great. Let's hope they have a good script writer for this....I am looking forward to it |

| i haven't played the game..but Once they get the subs I'll definitely start watching this show.. The world war 2 setting got me interested awhile back and the op was cool. Sounds like everyone who played the game loved it so I expect good things from this show. Though I know next to nothing about it.. |

| Due to me not owning a PS3, I have not played the game either, though I'll still be watching. This might be better for me lol, having not played the game, I won't have anything to compare it to. So major changes from the game to the anime adaptation won't affect me as much as someone who has played the game. XD |

| Having played the game I can say that I'm completely satisfied with the adaptation so far. Sure they changed some things, but it doesn't really affect the plot so far. Also, it's great to know that we'll get Marina and Edy later on as support characters. Animation was great, I loved how they kept some of the waterpaint effects from the game and also used the original bgm. I'm going to rage if they change things about mission 16 or the epilogue though! *goes to play the game* |

Blantantly doesn't do his research and get the whole selling point of this anime/game I loved how they kept to the orignal animemation, but i wish they added in the "rat tat tat" and "brrr's" of the guns and tanks, that woulda made me very happy, but I do like how they genrarly fallowed the game in its self. 5/5 for keeping to how its ment to be overall. An excellent start to the series I must say. x |

| I didn't play the game so I don't know if it's a good adaptation or not. But I liked this episode. And I really like the art. The watercolor style and sketch-like overlay are great. |
| I love the game so this was my most anticipated anime this season, and this first episode didn't disappoint. They changed some minor things, but the plot is the same as in the game so far. Isara design doesn't look as good as in the game tho, but Alicia looks great. |

| Nice start, the setting is pretty interesting, and the story kinda reminds of Allison to Lillia (although this one isn't as boring =P). Also, I really like the sketchy animation style, gives it a nice touch :) |

| Some scenes were taken out that happened in the game, but I can understand that it's for pacing's sake so I'm totally fine with that. Dunno how I feel about Welkin being under suspicion this long. If the skirmish at the bridge had occurred, we could've forgone that, but it's still all good. I just can't get over how good it feels to watch this. |

| Well having not played the game I have nothing to compare this too which could actually be a good thing after being disappointed by Abyss. So far so good for me~ Really like the characters and the artwork so far. |

| I've Never played the game but I really enjoyed the first episode! the characters look awesome, good voice actors, music, and I like the animation! :) I cant wait to see more! |
