| Well, this is definitely a dozen times better than the preivous Benizakura arc... also this might be one of the best arc out of this show ( how many times have I said this ?) |
| good arc, and with a Gintama-style perfect ending of tricking the audience and Yamazaki into pretending that the funeral was his own. |

| Itou dying had no effect at all. He got introduced in this arc and was an asshole before doing a 180. Why should the viewer give a crap about him? And as expected Yamazaki survived as well, so with all the bloodshed going on, no even remotely important character died in the end. |
| Great conclusion to this arc, the funeral scene was especially hillarious and entertaining |
| Great ending to this arc, the last fight between Ito and Hijikata was touching. Gintoki had some great moments, but not as much as in Benizakura. And now we're back to comedy. |

| Gator succinctly explained why death in this episode was so hokey. Gintama's writer does a lot for convenience that seems to get eaten up by the general viewer. |
