I'm kinda dissatisfied that every time Ami seemed to attempt to confess, she was cut off and never gets the chance to express the emotions she suppressed thought basically the whole series. This show was incredible though. I wish I could have seen how they acted as a couple but... fuck it. I'm beginning to notice a pattern with romance anime, you get the big build up for the kiss then.... THE END... I'm fucking watching Eechi anime for a while till this mother fucking feeling of void goes away...

I wanna give Toradora and 11/10, but alas, I'm out-stepping my bounds. Jokes aside, probably one of the best romance animes I've seen; loved every minute of it and I can't get it out of my head.

It was predictable by the first episode that Ryuuji and Taiga would end up together but I'm disappointed Kawashima never got to express her feelings towards Ryuuji. Personally, I would have preferred if Ryuuji and Ami ended up together in the end rather than pairing Ryuuji up with Taiga. Minorin did hint at the possibility of liking girls in one of the episodes, so an Ami x Minorin as a pair could happen. I also really liked that Ryuuji's mom had her moment finally and that things worked out in the end between mother and son.

I'd give Toradora an 8/10. It was a great romantic/comedy but tsundere characters are annoying to me. Taiga wasn't as bad as most characters that play that type of role, but unfortunately, she was also my least favorite character in the series.

So.. I just rewatched Toradora! again. (couldn't remember how many times)
Still can't get rid of my thought.. I really wished "Ryuuji and Minori" would be together. *sobs*
It's really painful to watch, especially a girl like her.. plus she's also deeply in love with him.
My heart couldn't take it when she gave up on him.. that indirect kiss on the fist. *sobs*
They just look lovely together. (//∇//)

Also I was hoping for Ami to have the chance to at least express her true feelings.
Things might've turned out differently.. really like her.

For me it feels that Taiga would've still end well with staying as Ryuuji's close friend or neighbor and all..
Though it's obvious she'd end up with him from the start, I would've truly love her more if she was the one giving up instead of poor Minori.

I guess this is the sad thing about a pure romance anime, unlike those harem series.
You just can't satisfy everyone. *sigh*

Nonetheless, it will stay as one of my favorites.

Bravo. Fantastic series. Ended perfectly. Episode 24 threw me for a loop, but then this episode made up for it big time. Probably a perfect romantic comedy: funny, but with touching, awkward, and often even hard to watch (in a good way) emotional drama throughout. The story and characters' growth always felt sincere as well. Loved it.

Seriously, my heart skipped a beat when she disappeared, I would have been so depressed if that had happened. Happy endings win 9 times out of 10.

This episode deserves no less than a 5/5.

I can't believe that now it has ended :'< It lasted 25 weeks, always on Wednesday evening we were able to watch new Toradora episode and couple of days later we had subs for it. And know we don't have it anymore.

Ya-san came to grandparents too and Taiga and Ryuuji really look like a pair now : )))

- spoiler warning -

Taiga is just so moe ♥
<img src="http://i44.tinypic.com/2lwop38.png" border="0">

Somehow the ending was pretty... weird. It ended like usually Kugimiya's animes; tsundere says something not-so-cute. But somehow that second part was sad when you were watching how Ryuuji was suffering :'<

Good anime, really liked. 10/10

Just finished watching, and loved it. Would have liked to see a lot more of an epilogue than just 3 minutes, like another kiss. What I really wish is that they have an OVA that shows the characters maybe 5 years in the future, and what they're doing. Be great to see Ryuuji and Taiga together, possibly with Taiga pregnant (see attached picture from PSP game ending); Kitamura together with Sumire Kanō in America, possibly married; Minori on the Japanese national softball team, Ami a world class model, and even Hisamitsu Noto and Maya Kihara together.

Seeing them makes me so jealous! I want to find it already just like Taiga and Ryuuji. The love they have is so beautiful. Omg man that whole scene where they kiss!! Just wow! It is truly spectacular. Probably one of the best romance scenes in anime history. No matter how many times I watch it makes me so happy, happy enough to cry out of joy. I can never get enough of it and this series :)

The music for this anime is so perfect btw, especially the second ending song! I'm so happy now after watching again! :)

It was a fun watching this. I'm a little disappointed though. From the very beginning, I knew it was going to be Ryuu x Taiga. Still, there was a strikingly obvious potential to have a different ending! They built up Ami very well as a character. Minori already had a nice setup but still didn't seem the obvious choice. Well, Toradora turned out to be "another predictable (for the most part) romance anime" after all. I can't deny that the show was amazing but it is disappointing.

I also don't get why people say this is a tear jerker. It's not, it did stir my emotions a little bit but it's not something to tear up about. It's light, the story wasn't too intense, it's sweet, and it's pure.

If it were up to my judgment, the story could have easily steered towards Minori. (Ami is my favorite!)

This turned out to be as predicatable as the Title and the 1st Episode. Basically it's Familiar of Zero without Harry Potter. Taiga was basically Louise minus the Pink Hair.

I had high hopes for it not turning out to be episode one... but knowing JC Staff, well.

Anyway, it had potential... if not for it's obvious plot. It's well done compared to Familiar of Zero, of which the Story was just all over the place.

EDIT:

It would have also been better if he really went for Minorin and not just settle for the safe bet next neighbor girl... with respect to Real Life that is.

Overall it was a fun Romantic-Comedy Anime. 5-8/10. I'm giving it an 8 overall, but a 5 for it's oh so predictable JC Staff plotline.

My 0.02 dollar.

I don't know why you are putting the blame on JC staff for the 'oh so predictable plotline' when it is an adaption of a light novel.

Ok let me wrap this up quick because I need to go to sleep so can lucid, "and here's an autograph for your" oh shit sorry, just listening to stan atm...

Anyways this anime was very cliche, predictable and over dramatic. I found the drama scenes unnatural and forced as if it was truly a story written, rather than feeling like a real life situation.

Characters were average, Taiga pissed me off and Ryuuji is scandsome.

Overall I didn't really think anything special of this, no plot throughout the start to middle till the 20s. Then it started getting better. I got chills only once, when Taiga was confronted by Minronin in the class room, but besides that, I FEEL NOTHING (Badass)

A weak 8.2/10. Piece of shit in my opinion. Everyone else above me are sentimental faggots! LOL

Well, now, I have the biggest grin on my face I ever had watching an anime. It was such a sweet ending for a sweet anime! Well okay, after the first part, I was about to cry and to destroy my screen, but I just couldn't believe it would end like this.

I'm glad they sorted out the Yasuko issue at the beginning. She wasn't a bad mother, far from it. She sacrificed everything for him, even her pride.

The kissing scene was so sweet, and Ryuuji embarrassed by the two futon really made me laugh.

Now about the second part... It's not that it was bad, it's just that I have very versatile feeling, so these kind of thing are really too harsh for my heart. Seriously, I really though it was a TTGL ending kind [MAJOR SPOILER FOR TTGL]

The photo was really cute, Ryuuji trying to smile but giving more an awkward grin. Anyway, a great end for a great show, Taiga is clearly on my fav character list now.

8/10 or 9/10 dunno but it was a fun ride
though i think my favorite character is ami (imo well developed and very mature character; no pun intended lol) , but the other characters were likable too

it's pretty easy to tell that taiga and ryuuji were gonna end up together just by looking at the opening -_- they were the canon couple. most romcoms are a dead give away so.... qq moar?

While not as good as I remembered, rewatching Toradora do remind me why I think it's the best of all the (severely limited) romcoms that I had seen. The pacing is simply terrific with hardly any wasted time as most scenes had their own points to come across. The ridiculous actions taken by the characters are well justified (albeit twisted, still justified), taken note of and elaborated by the characters themselves; something which irks me the most in other anime as they frequently did out-of-character things (ignored by other characters to boot) for the sake of propelling the plot. Best of all, there's never a break from events typical of a school setting which makes it a perfect watch for those who can't stand straight-up romance show that focuses more on their daily life. Nay, Toradora is all about enjoying the events, drama and (to a lesser extent) comedy.

Nevertheless, the main reason I rewatch this is to refresh my memory as to why everyone claim Aisaka Taiga is a tsundere. With this, I can finally rest my case.

Edit: And of course, I'm always surprised when I realized Toradora was made by J.C. Staff. It raised my hope of them only to be crushed by their later series.

Yeah. Though i did love her tsundere text message.

The last episodes made the series as a whole much better in my opinion, but i think it would have been better with a large part of the middle condensed into a few episodes. It started and ended well, but i felt the middle dragged and not much of importance actually happened. I won't be giving it a 9 or a 10 like other people here, but it was a good series. I'm not usually a fan of romantic comedies that don't have some other genre mixed in (supernatural, adventure, whatever) but i enjoyed this one, for the most part. I won't be re-watching it but I'm glad i experienced it once. One thing that they could have done better that would have made a lot of the scenes in this last few episodes have more impact was development of Ya-chan's character. She was a pretty one dimensional character until recently.

Overall (factoring in personal enjoyment which was lower than most everything else in the series) a 7/10. Good, but not great. Had it been a bit shorter, it could have been an 8.

Keep in mind that i do score things on a scale of 1-10, not 5-10 like most people. 7 is more like a B or B- than a C- to me.

Loved the anime ! Great story, great characters, great ost, everything .
I'm just sad because neither Ami or Minorin got true happiness in the end, i know that he can't stay with the 3 at the same time (this is not To Love-Ru) xD but somehow I think Minorin and Ami-Chan deserved to be with him too :/

Besides that, what really pisses me off and I can't understand is that why the hell did Taiga run off ? I mean she went living with her parents, but why ? She never liked them, she was a lot better with Takasu and Ya-Chan, if she had stayed with them in the end it would be a lot better and less sad :c

Can somebody explain me why she move out away from him ?

Good anime, I feel others have done it better, but thats just my opinion.

I feel that way mostly because the drama felt waaaaaaay too forced and piled on waaaaaaay to high all of a sudden.

Its like they toned down all the drama in the entire series, and then took all of that and fuel'd the last 4 some odd episodes with all the skimmed from the other ones. On top of that, it felt like they didnt explain enough the reasoning's behind why the characters decided to act as they did. I mean, yeah they did, but to me it didnt feel like they did it enough, just the basics to get you to understand and that was it, not much explored beyond that.

id give this an 8/10

The rewatch value of this anime is immense, I just got finished watching it again and it still left me breathless at points. This anime isn't a 10/10 by any means, but that doesn't change the fact that it is one of my all-time favorite anime. I'd put it in my top 10 list for sure.

Three of my all-time favorite spine tingling anime scenes come from Toradora alone. You have episode 19's "Ryuuji! Ryuuji!.... ryuuji" moment, the bridge confession/ attempted murder, and last but not least quite possibly the greatest kissing scene of all time in Taiga's "One more... one more... one more..." scene. Gotta love this show.

It was a heart waning series that I came to love in a matter of 4 sittings. I didn't really like how Taiga just left out of fucking no where, leaving Ryuuji in turmoil. It was confusing as hell; the only possible reason I see to Taiga leaving all of a sudden, was to show the viewer that she was independent and that she had matured, in comparison to her in the first episode. Even if im pissed that Taiga left Ryuuji without personally saying a damn thing, she still makes up for it in the end. I love ToraDora, and its sad that its over. :,)

I'd rate it 9 if this ep wasnt so bad. B'cuz of it it's only 8.

Can someone competent tell me why, and I mean, WHY did she leave out of nowhere? Did her parents imprison her in a cellar or what? Why did she quit school? WHY? Why didnt she consult this with her man? Why did she suddenly come back without any messages? How much time passed since she left till she come back? Why does it look like it was horribly long time?

And one last thing: WHY did people seem'd to not remember her in the end? Wasnt she famous?

Overall very good series, but last ep was trash :`( 8/10

"When she arrives back at her her apartment and hears her mother's emotional voice mail messages, Taiga decides to break the promise to Ryūji and to change her ways, preferring to mend the breach with her own mother rather than to go on fleeing and avoiding all her problems. She leaves Ryūji a note on the table, sends him two text messages reminding him that he never did state 'I love you' to her, and disappears from school, but she sends everyone a mail with a picture of the night sky and a single star, representing Minori's belief that one's future belongs entirely to one's self. Minori feels that this is supposed to encourage them to do their best. Show was getting good but the ending was dumb. Taiga just drops out of school and apparently goes to live with her mom despite her mom basically not giving a shit about her and Taiga hating her family? And Taiga finally has a chance to start dating Ryu but leaves that all behind even though she is accepted into their family and she states how much she loves that? Then she comes back a fucking year later and Ryu is all I LOVE YOU like nothing has changed? Ridiculous!

Surprised that Minori and Katamura never dated. They displayed very good chemistry together throughout the show and that seemed like the most obvious paring right from the start. Ami was the only sensible character in the show although she was weak just like everyone else. Taiga was almost sensible until that last episode.

I don't understand how this show is rated so highly but each their own. It had its moments.
