I loved this episode, the part with fuko and the whistle call was hilarious, along with the whole whacking Sunohara with a starfish. Cried with laughter, and then just plain welled up with tears, pure evil to have something serious after something so amusing.
Was really nice to see the other side of sunohara though. The ending scene was heart breaking.
another great clannad epsiode, the mix of drama and comedy was great :D,i prefer the comedy more though :)
two of the funniest Fuko's arc scenes were in this episode:
1st is the Sunohara getting beaten by fuko with the starfish(actually this is my favorite sunohara scene in all this anime, maybe after the one with Tomoya's sick imagination in the last episode...trying not to spoil anything)
and that old crazy man...i rememer Ibuki-sensei,he had a very hairy chest... xD
overall this was a great episode, now prepare for some serious dramatic moments :)
PS:is it me or Fuko and Kanon's Ayu are almost identical?O.o
who is Fuko??? mhmmhmh she is more than ghost, she is....... nhààààààààààààààààà
seriously, what is this??? even so this series is great!!!! and I think Fuko is character with less interesting tracts, imho!!!!
next ep Fuko's arc ends..... Okazaki and Nagisa are very good chara, I hope we will watch more resuming on them.....
"My sister's condition worsened the other day. The doctor says that there probably isn't a chance of her waking up."
And just like that, all those happy moments of Fuko's efforts were thrust away with those words. This continues to become a regular pattern in Clannad's story, when after they bring you to a great height of happiness... the writers tear it all down all of the sudden, reducing the joy to ashes of despair.
Okay, I'll admit - the coma patient theme is not the freshest of ideas - but at that time, when Nagisa fell onto the floor and burst out in tears, along with Tomoya, I couldn't think of any criticism of the story consistence or rational thoughts about the freshness of the idea at the time. All I wanted to do was to cry with them in despair.
The point of Nagisa falling on the ground, though nothing mind-blowing, did a decent job in symbolizing the sudden thrust of unfairness to someone so innocent. It was almost like fate was giving Tomoya, Nagisa and Fuko the finger. Just awesome stuff here.
Oh, and this (just now) is probably my third or fourth time watching that scene, and I still cried the hardest compared to any other scene in the first season.
Great episode, it made me laugh so hard when Fuko kept hitting Sunohara with her starfish. Speaking of Sunohara..despite the fact that he's pretty much the Butt-Monkey of the series, he's actually a pretty decent person. He's growing on me.
A-a-a-a-ah, this is by far the most emotional episode, I could barely stand it. I had for once or twice the thought if this might happen to Fuuko, but the lightheartedness of the show deceived me that the story will barely take a mournful direction...
Even Sunohara surprised me with his seriousness at the end of this episode. And what about Tomoya? Did he cry because Nagisa cried? Her reaction at the end really moved me. Or did he cry because he really cared about Fuuko this much? Either way, I didn't expect him to become so emotional at any point of the show...
So Fuko's always been lonely huh ... well, not that I expected much different though. Her condition worsened and she's being forgotten - they're probably related, yes? Oh dear ...
Sunohara is awesome yet again (even when being hit by Fuko LOL) Lots of funny moments mixed with emotional ones. Hrm ...
I dunno about Kouko, but frankly I'd be a little creeped out if two high schoolers were super into my wedding plans, even if they WERE worried about my little sister. Ah well, it's an anime, what can you do :S
Seriously Nagisa must you cry every episode?! -_-"
Looks like the arc will be ending soon, with the wedding ceremony appearing closer and Fuko's condition. I wonder if she'll get a "happy" end or not though? o_O
It's awesome...I really laughed my ass off :P
And is Fu-chan around to die or something?? It seems as her body gets worse she gets more invisible..I really hope she gets well...FU** am getting really emotional with this series :P
