Well that was a good a series. It was just always pumped me up with all the intense action and a little bit of craziness(they cut planets in half) and them screaming their attacks name it just really got my blood boiling.

Insane, ridiculous and cliched are words I'd used to describe my experience with this show and its ending.... and I loved every second of it.

sweet jeebus so much transformation in one episode and now the old team is stuck in a endless fight forever. I enjoyed the show for its animation, monster design and crazy ass action. The plot mainly the docs plan was so freaking confusing and felt like it kept changing. I didint hate the characters, but I didint really get attached to any ether. Its a show where you turn off your brain and just enjoy the fight. I also heard the writer left after episode 4.

What an ending: multiple forms, planet slashing, dimensional rift and endless fight?!

4/5

Fun bloody action (with lack of animation toward the end), great designs, but absolutely no idea where to go ! Aferthought "explanation" dropped in the last minutes.
The new generation trio clearly lacks charisma compared to their predecessors.

What a fucking fantastic OVA series this was! Just so over the top, full of epic action and animation. I also really liked the story, it was hard to follow at first given the whole plot of this being a sequel to something that was never made. But eventually enough of the gaps and backstory is filled in. I won't say I was ever fully aware of every thing that was going on but I was engaged and enthralled by everything that was happening.

Superb Series through and through. I honestly don't know I'll ever be able to watch the original 70's kid show stuff after witnessing this.

Holy shit that was epic. Loved that Shin Dragon's body was based on the Atlantian serpent from the Getter Robo G manga, that was a nice touch. Up until this episode I felt like the Shin Getter's power had been seriously nerfed compared to the manga, but not anymore xD

May the true Getter team fight in Getter Valhalla alongside their Emperor for all eternity T^T

Great final episode! The series got a bit rocky in the middle after Imagawa left, but the final stretch started to pick up a little bit.

SHINE SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK!!!!!!!!!

Goddamn, what a ride. The entire series was one big kickass tribute to Getter Robo, there was a lot of Shin and Go in here but also some pleasant callbacks to the first two series. Seeing Getter Emperor at the end made me go "yoooo" even if I knew it was gonna appear here. Poor Ryouma, Hayato and Bekei though, fighting in the void until the end of time.

Thought you could watch as a stand alone, you cannot.
Hardly understood what was happening
Thought Go died, then he reappeared.

What a cool series. I must admit I'm usually not the biggest fan of the Getter Robo series outside the original 1970s anime and its sequel Getter Robo G, because they're a bit too dark and depressing for my taste. This was still pretty dark, but it had more than enough "f*ck yeah* moments to compensate for it, and this final episode epitomized that. Saying goodbye to the old trio of Ryoma, Hayato and Benkei not because they die, but because they'll hold off the invaders in an eternal fight is an epic ending for these iconic characters.

The moment when Shin Getter Dragon came charging out of the earth's atmosphere after the original trio seemed to have died was awesome. It was gloriously over the top, especially with it being accompanied by Yuusou, which is easily the best track of the Getter Robo Armageddon OST. This is a modern-style super robot series done right. I wish we'd get more of this nowadays, and less isekai.

As a fan of the Super Robot Wars video games, it was cool finally seeing a lot of the Getter related monsters that have so prevalent in the recent installments in action.
