| THIS IS AN MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Now that I think about it, this was the first time Sena got tackled from behind. It's hard to fathom that hasn't happened before. But it was a pretty intense duel. I honestly cannot see how Sena will raise his level because he's superior in moves, but not speed this time. Time to see the Japan Defense. |
| Wasn't Sena tackled from behind by Mizumachi in the second-to-last play of the Poseidon match? http://www.onemanga.com/Eyeshield_21/125/16-17/ Sena wins the tech and mindgame showdown hands down, but Panther is just faster, and so steals the ball like candy from a baby. Japan desperately needs someone who can effectively lead block on Panther for at least a few seconds if they're going to have an effective run game. That means one of two people on the Japan team. Ballista time or Godspeed Impulse time, one of the two. Not that one needs a good run game to win in top-class football anyway. | Pretty intense showdown this week. The mangaka did a great job of keeping suspense in the air, because for a second, I thought Sena was actually going to make it. Panther swiping (pun intended) the ball to cause a fumble is really kicking #21 while he's down, lol. Yamato's got to step his lead block game up. Finally, it's time for the Godspeed Impulse to wreak havoc on the field. |

| Oh... nice block at first.. one of a hell play by the whole Japan All-Star team... and then it was Sena versus Panther... I didn't imagine Sena-kun would lose so bad... He ws pwned.... he was blocked right through the back and easily stopped by Panther.... Oh my... I know Sena techniques were amazing but he couldn't so anything about the speed of Panther... and that was sooooo sad... And so Yamato being easily passed with no efforts... Hmm... and now what will happen with Japan huh? I hope they don't receive the first touchdown... if not this will be lost for sure... GOOOO JAAAAPANN!! Signs, Green |
