| Watching Mister Rogers' Neighborhood as an adult... wow, this show is a treasure! Even though this show is aimed at children, I feel like it's adults (especially those who have little to no social skills) who can learn a lot from it. From expressing feelings in a healthy manner and how to treat others during misunderstandings and hurt feelings to how crayons and erasers are made! He also had a talent for explaining difficult topics such as divorce and death in a gentle, manageable way. Compassion, inclusion and empathy were central themes and I couldn't help but want to emulate that. Whilst I always liked Mr. Rogers, it was when I was older that I was able to fully appreciate this man and his work. He was a hero, and I mean that in every sense of the word. He's my role model and I hope I can do my job and make this world a better place too! |

| Bubbles baths are so relaxing to me. I only take one once a month or every other month though. | Speaking of friends, if you're one of mine, then there's no way there can be jealousy or envy on either side. Well, I know how to manage my feelings and don't compare myself to others so that's no problem for me. But I've dead ass had former friends say they were jealous of me. Like, huh? It's ranged from, "Because women like you and you know how to talk to them." to "You have friends that you talk to daily and care about you." It's not like I'm doing anything special or extraordinary. But I guess that's why they were tryin' to bring me down. Which if you're my friend is a big no-go. Since I don't see life as some competition and have more of a "Together we win" mentality, I expect my friends to be happy for me when I'm winning. And likewise, I'm happy for my friends when they are. This leaves no room for insecurity, envy or jealousy. All that's left is mutual support, encouragement and wanting to be the best people we can be |

I know I give insecure/negative people a lot of (deserved) shit, but I still keep the above aphorisms in my head. But just 'cause I'm aware doesn't mean I'm going to be anyone's verbal punching bag or doormat. I'm going to stand up for myself. I'm all for creating a supportive, nonjudgmental platform for people to be their true selves. And that includes airing any of their vexations, worries or shortcomings, but you're not going to be making me (or anyone else) feel bad in the process. I'm not so understanding that I will let any and everything slide. As my friend once said, "Show grace, but don't be a fool." &++ my parents definitely didn't raise one* *Well, okay, I watch anime and listen to K-pop, but that's no fault of theirs |

| I grew up watching Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Boy Meets World, Hey Arnold, and Yu-Gi-Oh! I learned a lot from those shows on how to be a solid/decent person and values worth having. I still watch all of 'em, &++ that shit worked out in my favour |
