| I came LAAAAATE to the party. Didn't get into anime until I was like 15 or some shit. I asked my dad for a copy of Shakugan No Shana because my brother watched some anime and I was kind of getting interested. I got it for Christmas, then spent TWELVE HOURS the next day marathoning all 24 episodes. I've never done a marathon even close to that. I wasn't even on my freakin' ADHD medicine at the time! But damn that show. That shit kept me fucking GLUED to the TV for half a day. |

But I didn't treat it as anime then, just a cartoon every boy at school watched ;P First "anime" I watched was Last Exile, then Crest/Banner of the Stars and Hellsing - those three were viewed on one of my TV stations. After that I had a REALLY long break and... watched Last Exile again, now all eps cause earlier I skipped 2 or 3, and started watching different anime (etc. Angel Beats). |

| My mom was on the sofa and I was watching Mila trying to make that perfect spike. The anime was dubbed in Romanian with 3 actors but you could still hear the Japanese voices. It was so otherworldly and fascinating. Attack no1 is the name of the anime but true fans know it as Mila Superstar. |

| my first anime was ouran host club, i got recommended it, watched it and didn't understand it (prob bc i didn't pay too much attention lmao). it was parasyte that really got me into anime, but i will probably go back and rewatch ouran because it fits in with the kind of shows i like now |

| Attack on Titan was the first for me. I was really impressed and amazed by it. All I've ever seen was kid shows from Nickelodeon. So it really got me. |

| Since I am a 90's kid, of course is was DBZ and pokemon. But those were really just part of the routine of saturday morning/after school cartoons, so I hardly think they are special. No, what did it for me was FLCL. You had to stay up late at night during the school week, and it was only playing for that one week. The excitement, anticipation, and confusion were exhilarating... Kind of like when you first catch a skin flick on late night tv.... Although those aren't really a thing anymore I guess. |
