A half-serious topic doesn't mean it should come out to be a half-assed job. There are plenty of other great examples that can mix comedy with action to give a good balance, like Tiger and Bunny's take on superheroes. That was way better than this. It would have worked out better if they split the coverage into different seasons. There's also one big problem with the grandparent's backstory about his parents being murdered by unknowns and also about some crazy backstory about Samurai Flamenco in the diary. Are these pointless at this point? I'm not understanding how Flamenco became Flamenger now so suddenly while ignoring so many of older elements. To put it short, the story is in a real mess right now. I am not familiar with how Madoka did with their story, but whatever state Samurai Flamenco is in currently is just not acceptable. I will still watch it with some hope that things may turn for the better, but honestly with the reused patterns as commonly seen in Sentai it gets really boring to watch. Also very hard to believe the manager's response to his reveal was brushed so quickly aside as so many people have said. This was a badly written episode. |

| Action got steady days of glory are on. Are those sixties now? Well, those calm parts where Goto was speaking with Mari and Hazama reminded me of how much this show was good when it was going small in first seven eps. All those monsters.. feels like one big horrible mistake. Sigh. |

Not so sure about the magical girl reference, but all the other references is about is in power ranger, so I don't think they moved from one hero reference to another. As for the magical girl one, it is more like that the costume looks similar to how a magical girl would dress, a sort of theme going on for new female heroes. I can see why this episode was a disappointment for you. I got by because I think that the series is trying to establish itself as a just for fun anime with its serious moments, and that the main thing i pick up from this episode is that gotou and mari is coming back. I also think that the 64 monsters will just be wrapped up in a big battle. As for the older elements, I think grandpa's diary was to set him up to be the Samurai Flamenco against King torture, whereas the murder of his parent is used to show that Samurai Flamenco is only human and is limited in resources. Then becoming a Flamenger is moving up on the stage or rank. People on the net is saying that Madoka is a deconstruction of the magical girl genre.The series reevaluate magical girls; and i got that same reevaluation of heroes from samurai Flamenco, but samurai flamenco is not well executed. I'm not so sure about the reused patterns, but all the superheroes for kids reuse the same pattern every time. For example, in power ranger, the monster threaten the people, get defeated, turn ginormous, get defeated again for good by by a giant robot that is a combination of several parts. Not sure why it is being done though. The manager's reaction being cut out might be due to budgeting, as it is just we, the viewers, wanting to know how it will turn out, but does not affect the story on the path it is going down on. I'm already stuck on the ride, might as well wait for the end. Guess it is also a way for the company to be noticed. |

| 3/5, but maybe I should give more, I'm not sure. However, this episode was kinda stupid sometimes. This robot who appeared to destroy the evil and looks of this robot... I was like: O_O WTF ?! Plus this new enemies. I just new that...Looks of them is so stupid and they are stupid at all xD I liked when this series more when Masayoshi was fight alone, but I think it doesn't look bad now, with sentai as well. It showed work as team, and I'm glad they're all starting to be a good team. And finally, Masayoshi is still f*cking cute. I officially fell in love with him. ^.^ |

Samurai Flamenco clearly doesn't give a fuck about pandering for BD sales. I do agree though that there are large issues in execution, in which case I can understand in people being disappointed with the show. But like I've mentioned before, if you pay enough attention to the story, I feel like you can see there's more to the craziness than what you can see at the surface level. I might be over-analyzing something that isn't there, but for the most part I think a lot of you are too dumb to pick up on anything that isn't thrown at your face ╮(╯▽╰)╭ |

He even holds the connectors as tails, :D, in his right "hand". |

| I wonder who yellow will be... definitely couldn't be the girl who's already obsessed with the superhero business and made an attempt at it wearing yellow. I'm not entirely disappointed in the show, but I really hope this series has a satisfying payoff. Because, at first I thought this could be really interesting being a grittier and (somewhat) more realistic Super Sentai, but now it just feels like a generic Sentai with the occasional crudity. |

| I prefer the first OP/ED, looks like they've managed to even rob me of that last pleasure. Ever since Gorilla Guillotine, it has been pure idiocy beyond belief, but at least I could laugh at it. Like, Kakumeiki Valvrave laugh at. This episode was just so boring, the humor has become stale and the slice of life moments feel so contrived. I might as well watch paint dry if it continues like this to the end. |

| I'm not even....it's....O_O....hmm.. This show gets more stupid by the minute but i still can't shake the feeling they want to make us feel like that. I mean they used a satellite dick for fucks sake and it even made that transgender thing of an enemy get aroused. At the end, I felt as if the flamengers didn't really respect him as a "leader" but rather the guy that can take over a majority of the responsibilities (just from the way they treated him to a dinner he cooked them) so they gladly handed over the red suit to him. And as quoted, the old-er characters are still not out of the story quite yet. I feel as though they are being saved for the more interesting parts of the plot, especially gotou, as Masayoshi is still attached to him in some way. Saying that the other RangersFlamengos don't seem to be in the heroic mentality isn't inside on the show when it was clearly shown. Anyway this is a show that threw many things and until now made used of none. So who knows wtf the creators have in mind. |

| Don't really like the new OP. Nice ED but I like the first one better. These new villians kinda suck. They defeated the 4 Kings already and now there's the 64 war Gods? Where are they going? When I saw that drill i wanted them to go GIGA DRILL BREAK! |

Loved the AKB48 joke. however I cannot believe goto is letting some girl (who is romantically interested in him) stay at his place when he has a girlfriend????????????? like wow I get that he's trying to be nice since he knows about Mari's situation, but there are other ways to support her. |

| Ahahahahaha, so from king torture we go to four kings but they are obviously NOTHING compared to the 64 war gods ! The parody is strong in this one. I'd like to see Goto some more again though, interaction between him and masayoshi has been best constant for this show imo |

| You know I kind of liked the serious route they were taking with King Torture even though it was breaking the laws of reality within the show, but now they're just taking it in these huge cheesy direction. I hope it gets more intense soon or at least with better comedy. These new characters are fine but I better not see the original cast being ignored more in these next coming episodes. Also that opening was so lazy lmao. |

Also, this anime is getting a whole lot sillier now, I hope it either drops or continues (on a more absurd level) how silly things can get. I mean, this doesn't take itself seriously, but it can bore me for sure. I mean 64 kings?? Like something out of Nisekoi lmao. Well, this is a parody, let's continue anyway. | I was wondering what they were doing with the opening when I started this episode, but it became pretty obvious that they had a documentary style going on, and the OP seemed to fit well with that. Hope that was the reason. I really like how they're not seriously focusing on the sentai aspects. Not sure if I like this 'arc' better than the other ones, but it certainly made me laugh more as of yet. |
