THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Essentially a trailer for the movie - I loved that '80's sci-fi art ...

For a trailer/preview/pilot of the movie, this sure was pretty good! The animation and visuals for it being from 1985 were really solid, so I am sure looking forward to see what the actual movie will have to offer!

Beautiful pictures and musical score, highlighting the settings, main theme (space conquest), along a few specific scenes.
Short but very well crafted.

5/5 It shouts: "Watch the movie!". And it is pretty effective: I just ordered it.

How could I escaped such an interesting looking film (somehow missed its VHS bargain edition and the two "censored" TV broadcasts), time to fix this !

I liked the mountain shots. Explosions and technology stuff looked great too.

Nice promo, although it spoils a bit too much (the invasion and assasination scenes). Also, the speech at the beginning is in Russian, looks like the film was inspired by the Soviet space program, at least a bit.

This was perfect in every aspect, the classical music was very magnificent. Animation was well coordinated.
