| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Dat fan service and pool, kinda what I expected from this... Looks like part of it were recap too with the first and second arc. They also seemed to shift between the recap scenes and rl pool scenses But damn those tits...Suguha. Sugou pissed me off quite a bit though. "Welcome to ALO". Dat virtual beach. Dat Asuna's blue hair. Well last 30 minutes or so were all original. Poor Klein. Seems like they also added new footage there with Asuna teaming up with Suguha, Kirito, etc in that dungeon and the whale ride at the end. GGO teaser after credit song. Oo. 2014. |

| Seems like the OP aired LiSA's TV ver. of OP, and ED is Aoi-san new song. Looks like it's recap with Kirito is reporting someone high up and girls talks about the meeting of Kirito while enjoying school pool life and Suguha learning to swim. Every theme song from TV series has been used as inserted song. The real new thing at the last 1/4, where they are finally at the beach in game world with Kirito and to the quest. Pretty OST from Kajiura-sama again! Kraken, huh?! Old sword man? Whale!! Sword Art Online II on 2014 and Sword Art Offline Extra Edition on April 23, 2014 w. blue hair girl. Edit: Edited the post a bit because it was airing on local TV just now. |

| As expected with the GGO announcement. Hopefully they don't screw up this time, as GGO arc in the LN was way better than SAO and ALO in my opinion. On the episode here, good to see some new stuff and also a refresher on some of the happenings in the SAO anime. |

| Finally finished downloading a raw version. Skimmed it, wasn't aware there'd be this much recap scenes. Well, at least around 3/4th in we get some new stuff. |
| So instead of making a really cool full length movie about a dungeon or something with a original story they decided to go full force on everything people didn't like about SAO (and other animes) and combined it with way too much boring, filler-like recap scenes and occasionally crammed in fanservice... And then ca. 10 min of something new actually happening. *facepalm* Why would anyone think this is a good idea? |

Does the RAW version contains subtitles? i believe crunchyroll should have it up.its subbed but i dont know what languages exactly (i only know english and spanish is subbed).crunchyroll says that the quality isnt HD but i just watched it in SD and it still looks really nice.i really enjoyed this even though it was mainly recap of SAO season 1 but whatever i loved SAO and really excited for season 2.hope its even better than the first season of SAO. |

| Wasn't great but considering most of it was a recap it wasn't too bad either. The last 25 or so minutes with the underwater dungeon was fun to watch though. |
| Skipped the service, skipped some of the recap. Watched most of the recaps though w/ him talking to w/e his face is (forgot already). Underwater dungeon was okay, but nothing amazing. |

| Waste of time. No Tonkii, despite the fact that this was the perfect chance to fix what they screwed up. Glad people have seen an announcement for season 2, but it definitely wasn't in the Crunchyroll version. Not too sure how I feel about GGO though, guns bore the crap out of me. |

| Nice 2 hour special. Just a refresh from the SAO and ALO arcs until 3/4 of the anime with finding the giant whale quest. Though I expect at least 1 hour of the recap and the other hour with some new scenes. Nice to see several recurring characters in here taking most of their spotlight. Well almost 50/50 of the episode is fanservice and recaps :D. And the most exciting news.... SEASON 2 here we come! :D. |

| Pretty much a recap episode with some extra scenes here and there. I was planning on re-watching SAO, but this special was worth watching. That interview lasted till late afternoon wow, and they ate nothing but candy lol. I prefer Asuna's SAO avatar than ALO. Idk, maybe her hair doesn't suit her, especially her usual red/white attire. The underwater quest was good, and that old man seemed too relaxed to just tell Kirito and the others he had his pearl stolen. Flashback scenes were also pretty nice as well. The phone call at the end was amazing GGO here it comes. BTW, does anyone think Pina would be Luster Dragon #2's baby form from Yugioh? They look similar. |

| Wow most of it was recap, although I did enjoy it. Also enjoyed that quest that they did as well. They got to see a whale at the end there. |

| Its funny how everyone is saying that this is 3/4ths a recap. I thought everyone knew what to expect already? The new scenes were pretty decent, PLUS the details for SAO2 just made my day. I wasn't a fan of the series when it first came out, but grew to love it after marathon-ing it last month. Can't wait to see how they animate the GGO arc. It's going to be totally different from what they had in the first two arcs (expecting something more along the lines of Btooom action maybe, but with guns instead). After gobbling up all the data I could find on the LN and forums up to the current arc, I'm totally hyped for SAO2. On a side note, I wonder what would have happened if they really did hand the egg over to the NPC dude.... |

| So it was a huge recap of the whole series but incorporating it into the plot. Watched most of it but then skipped some of the recap to see the new stuff. The underwater dungeon was cool and I really find it funny that the King of the Sea, comes down and basically pulls a Dora the explorer. "KRAKEN NO SWIPING!" "AW MAN!" |

| Great recap Special! I think.... x3 It was like a summary of Sword Art Online, but it was fun to watch all the characters and some of the scenes from the anime as well. :3 I enjoyed this til the end, so can't wait for the second season~! > W< |

| Okay, so the first 80 minutes was a recap and the remaining minutes was a quest that focused more on Kirito and Suguha's relationship? I really wished they focused on how they did that quest. |
