| I didn't necessarily interpret the ring as Mado having a *dead* wife. I more or less figured she may still be alive, but the ring just indicates Mado's humanity. He has a family, and revealing that creates a really sobering moment for Touka. |
| Even with his cold-blooded stance towards fighting Ghouls, Mado wasn't entirely that bad. After all those years battling violent Ghouls, I suppose that it was an unfortunate consequence that his mind has rejected any further reasoning towards his "enemies". Orphaning Hinami led him to widow his own family which is kind of karmic too. It was nice to see at least a little time of him with Amon in the flashback. Even if it was obviously written as a volume-end joke, I'm glad that Ryouko's up there in heaven casually sipping coffee. At least Mado will enjoy himself at Hell torturing those naughty Ghouls just fine lmao. |

| Don't you think it's wrong that Mado was sent to hell? I was deceived there for a second when I saw he had a halo. I thought he was going to heaven. lol Anyhow, we all know that Mado had an obsession with ghoul's kagunes but does that really make him a bad person? Both humans and ghouls have their own point of views and beliefs. I dare say he should be in limbo because in my opinion, he's neither good nor bad. |

| Character development for Mado and his effect on Amon. I still don't like him no matter what kind of backstory he gets. Using the Ryoko's dismembered body parts to lure Hinami was sadistic and I can't forget that. |
