I was waiting for a bit more of development in the romance, but Satoru's 'rival' just showed up in the last episode. It was good, 7/10.

Really nice ending to a relaxing series (^^)

I wasn't expecting too much out of this series, but each episode was meaningful in its own way =)

Possibly an 8/10 ^^

A lovely ending..definitely the most underrated show this season.
The flasback with Gin and Makoto was so cute! But wish they could've showed the "God" as well..
Really nice OST and a heart warming show <3

Another season is unlikely, I can only hope for one :( Guess I'll read the manga now :)

Despite the low ratings, I really enjoyed Gingitsune, it was nice, peaceful and sweet. I was even loling at times. very heartwarming anime imo. :'3
Reminded me of Natsume Yuujinchou. ♥

The older I get, the more I enjoy series like that - slow, heartwarming, cute, with characters, that are easy to like.

One of the few series, I picked this season, but it was worth it.

I'd like to see a S2 because many things are left unanswered.

Anyway, more than decent. 7/10

Good anime. Also, people who hate Haru and Satoru are jerks. They brought a lot of emotion to the show.

Traditional shrine ceremonies which aren't anything new if you've seen documentaries or new reports about it before
It was very enjoyable to see it happening with the cast you've grown attached to enfolding

It's was really nice to see Makoto's flashback at the end when she was little
Hopefully popular enough for sequels like Natsume Yuujinshou

The soundtrack, visuals with high details and moral lessons/story given were certainly worthwhile

This was an all around great anime. The OP was greatly composed, the story was light, and I felt like I learned more about Shinto and Japanese culture. People down slice of life, but it's nice to watch an anime about a country that is so different from your own, even down the mundane details of their life, culture, history, and religion.

Well, I was right. This Anime is really calm, gentle, relaxing, sweet, and heartwarming.
Beautiful last episode :D Japanese culture is really something, that's why I really love Japan and Anime <3
I really enjoyed this Anime, and I think that many people should watch this!!!!
I like the characters, they are all good, the character design is nice, the animation is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, the music is good, and the voice acting is great.
I really love Slice of Life Anime, it gives me this wonderful feeling.
I am really hoping for a second season, please make one!!! Thank you ^^
I guess I'll really enjoy Natsume Yuujinchou and Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha when I start watching them since they both give the same vibe. I shall eat now :3

Disliked the romance pretty much, didn't like Hiwako's crush for Tatsuo, didn't like driver-san's crush for Hiwako, didn't like how Yumi had her eyes on every good looking boys of any age, I feel bad for Shohei, didn't like the GinxMakoto hints, and that's pretty much it, I guess. I don't like Tatsuo as much as the other people. They need to spend some time on MakotoxSatoru instead, not necessarily, but better than the others imo. But anyway, I don't want a sequel, but would watch if there is one.

Gingitsune was very calm, relaxing, sometimes funny. But...maybe even too peaceful.
I'm still glad that I watched it :)

I thought this was good to great and think it would be a travesty if there wasn't another season after all the effort put into the character building of the first 12 episodes.

Wait, are they allowed to throw things in the river???

THAT WAS SO REFRESHING!!!! I really hope they make more of this Natsume Yuujinchou like anime. Shrines, and fox spirits and stuff like that, yeah there are A LOT of those, but without the fighting and dark spirits and stuff like fuck those things I want a slice of life.

This is like Uchouten Kazoku, there are so much more that they need to show and youkai/shinto traditions (??).
and Natsume Yuujinchou, they focus more on character development and relationships.
THESE THREE SERIES NEED MORE EPISODES, PLEASE. (for some reason, reading materials for them are hard to find)
Gosh, I want to see the gods appearing, heralds and people with sight.
This really needs to get their gears up and going about the characters and their stories, because wow, it was getting better why stop there.
I can see why a lot of people don't like this series that much, because it doesn't have some sort of goal or problem.

Haru and Satoru were brats at first, thank goodness they got better.
Makoto's drama during the first episodes were weird, it didn't match her for character for the rest of the series :\

Shipping Makoto with Gin was really weird they were cute, that was, really weird. No worries, I ship her with Satoru now, because IDK, there were hardly anything shown between them. I wish they show more of it though
I think everyone agrees that Hiwako and Tatsuo will and shall never happen,... good. I like Hiwako with the driver though somehow. Let's just forget about the SC President.
Yumi and Shohei, why the ffff are they still together???

I like this anime a lot, the opening was really good (I realized it was the same singer that sang the ending song for Uchouten Kazoku, fhana, no less from her.) I like the ending song too. The soundtracks was really nice to hear too. For the art, nothing really special.

Well, this anime really feels like I just watched 12 episodes full of slice of life fillers.
It's not bad, but there's nothing good about it either.. it's just average.
I'll give it some credit though because I liked it moe than Inari Konkon and Kamisama Hajimemashita. They could have done sooo much with the concept (like, actually make a decent story/plot), or something similar to Natsume...
I guess if you are a true slice of life fan you might like this, as for me I've seen a lot of better slice of life titles...
5/10 (I also watched the last 5 episodes with 1.5x speed because it was just incredibly slow and boring)

The day of the Summer Cleansing ~ .. "the 'turmoil' turns out pretty good" .. agree completely !!
One thing is for sure .. Everyone lives for something and that something will lead them to a thing that will grant them the most valuable event that is likely to happen in a nice way :)
Happiness once again , makes the better of each person that has a smile on his/her face :D
Very great episode !!! It was one the finest included-spiritual-ceremony that I ever watched !!

Gingitsune . An anime fitted to be recognize as a full-fledged slice-of-life kind of anime that surely brings the morality of life back in it's forevermore throne of eternity . It was a great experience for me to view and contemplate the entire program because numerous instants were deluxe .. in other words , meaningful as it was able to show the significance of a thing which is "life"(for me) that you have freedom over choices in prudence and time should be cherish every moment since not all can live longer than expected . Character developments are truly wonderful .. each persona were introduced relevantly which is nice and astounding for the audiences as developments matters an importance to it .(though, the "abstracts" were really not that good) In the end , I enjoyed the show pleasurably that satisfies my inner feelings much to contentment . I really wish that there could be a continuation of the anime.. It was really a smoothing one to peer at every time .. "May Fortune be with you" ~ .
I like to compliment it's music in it's OP and Cl , both were pleasing to the ears ~ !!

Well I liked it, didn't expect the show to be so sad. I cried at least 4 separate times. I dunno.. I think I need to stay away from slice of life all together, even if they have supernatural elements or whatever. Slice of Life is my least favorite and I should know better even when there's a twist. But overall, I did enjoy the anime. I liked all the characters, music, and art. Would have liked to see more time with Gin and Makoto.

Episode that ended in the best possible way the TV series, but although I liked it, I must waging accusations.
First the fact of not having exploited the potential well in his possession.
Character Design simple but nice, but the best thing about this anime was the OST which proved to be the highlight.
Too bad it lasted so little, I would like a second season.
My vote is 6/10!

The word I keep coming back to to describe this series is wholesome, almost good for you. :D A very peaceful, relaxing series for the most part, with some supernatural elements obviously thrown into the mix. I enjoyed Gintaro, I can see a bit of myself in him...for better or worse. :D Haru was fine too...mostly. Really I enjoyed most of tghe cast, particularly Makoto and her friends and father. Don't really have much more to say about it though, just a good show. 7/10

What a great last episode :D It was great to see everyone (and especially the kendo club member seeing Makoto LOL XD), and them getting ready and doing the ceremony was super interesting :3 Then the scene at the end ... aww, young Makoto was so cute :') Great ending! Really enjoyed the episode :D

Overall, this show was super calming to watch and gave me warm fuzzy feelings XD Loved pretty much all the characters (except Haru ... that voice >_<) and it was nice to see how they all changed throughout the show. The animation was good (a bit messy at times though), and the music was too. Really liked how they didn't really try to shoehorn any romance in, but I think even if they did they would've done it well. Enjoyable to watch and great ending! Bumped it up from a 7.5 to a 8/10 :D

Nice to watch something with family values and charming, it is good to take a break from heavy stuff.

I liked it but it was like something was missing the entire time. The plot was all over the place. There were many relationships blossoming and yet none came to fruition.

It seemed like the only point was to push Shintoism.
There was a lot of interesting Shintō practices and customs explained. But it was a slice of life with a hodgepodge plot.

Didn't expect anything from this but I enjoyed it. Was slow paced but that's ok, will look up the manga.

I thought Haru's devotion to Satoru and his family was really nice. And their personalities improved as the show went on. It was an easy watch and nice to see something without a load of fake dramas thrown up all over the place. Nothing wrong with those shows but this was a nice change of pace.

Gingitsune is a nice cute and charming anime.  Its really chill without being fake. All the characters are loveable.

However, Its episodic nature can make it difficult to watch more than one episode per day, and it can be a difficult anime to rewatch.

Im glad they kept this anime to just 12 episodes. I would have lower it to 10 episodes, but whateva.

Still surprised theres no OVA/special episode. And im surprised we didnt get to see Kinjiro make a return. Im also surprised we never got to see the dad of the glasses girl returning, and it would have been nice to gotten some development on the mother of the glasses girl.

In a way, due to its relaxing slice-of-life nature with episodic setting, the feel and experience of this anime reminds me of a 2005 anime called Lamune

This show really only takes off once Satoru and Haru are introduced. Both of them became so fundamental to the shows dynamic that both of them became the "real" MC's! That's how boring & unoriginal & bland Makoto is!

And what about Gintarou? Yeah what about him? Why is he even here? He doesn't do anything, doesn't say anything deep & meaningful if for some reason he decided to get up, pack a bag and just leave half way during, I dunno, episode 6/7 no one would have missed him one bit.

I like the cultural aspect and Haru-sama and Gin's occasional pat-pat to her head.

I hate that shameless girl seducing older dudes and the other lowlife slut, also ass gropping uncle.

I feel like Gin, I had enough of them bs.
