| Yeah, I'm tempted to rewatch all the Dreamworks, Pixar and Walt Disney film again. I don't know if it's just my age or what (22), but I felt the need to step away from most anime for a while. Even if the concept of Dremworks, Pixar and WDAS films have been done before, it is the execution, the atmosphere and magic that always drag me back in. In other word, I want that kind of thing back in anime and the last one I got was Wolf Children, which I adored to hell. I know there's Studio Ghibli too, but I feel there has to be more movies which is describing what I'm looking for... ...or a dark gritty anime would do me fine if it's along the line of Kara No Kyoukai. What I am looking for are movies or series that has gorgeous animation and don't revel in their own cliches that makes it nauseating. Kanata no Kyoukai put me on a sour note and Kill la Kill and Samurai Flamenco are on haitus. Now, going to get angry on LoL and sort those references out for my work. |

| Definitely gonna recommend Gankutsuou as a dark anime you should check out. Artwork is crazy interesting and the love/revenge themes are atmospheric/in-depth :) |

| I recommend: 1. Sword of The Stranger(action with historical theme). 2. Fate/Zero(action with supernatural). 3. Darker Than Black(action with super power, sci-fi, & mystery). 4. Planetes(slice of life with sci-fi, drama, & a little bit of romance). 5. 5 cm per Second(romance-drama). |
