New 'Infinite Stratos' OVA 'World Purge-hen' Due in 2014

The official Twitter for the "Infinite Stratos" anime series has announced that a new OVA is in the works titled "World Purge-hen." The final episode of "Infinite Stratos 2" also included that the OVA will air sometime in 2014 which you can find here and here.

The tweet also states that more information on the OVA will be given on the official site at a later date.

Infinite Stratos must be pretty popular in Japan, it's been getting a lot of attention! I am hyped for the OVA!

Infinite Stratos has probably one of the dumbest main characters in anime history. the show itself is already pretty bad so i'm not gonna bother with ovas

I hope it will focus on Char, Mifuyu or Tabane.

hopefully it's not any fan service cause I have had about enough of it from this anime already.

If this is what i think it is (about 80% sure) then it won't be just simple fan service but borderline p**r but there will be some plot in there hopefully...................

I could be wrong though and it could just be another random ova full of useless fan service as usual.

Other than the bishoujo the story and mc is pretty bad. I wish this was a proper shinki anime with fan service but not just random pop up.

So I just hope there won't be fan service anymore given the title.

As long there's less Ichika and more Char and Laura like the 1st ep of season 2, I will watch it.

First volume was special case. Kuroko is going to sell better than IS.

@annov, I'd really like to reply to your comment but I have no idea what you meant to say. However I'm sure it was very important considering you had to say it twice. Could you please restate your opinion in simpler English I would hopefully be able to understand?

It would take a minor miracle for Kuroko to outsell it. Even if it drops down to like 10k in later volumes, I don't see Kuroko doing much more then 14k or so an average since its dropped off the Animate charts. It'll probably end up like 16-18k average for IS2 and 12-14k for Kuroko

Honestly... I was kinda hoping the IS anime would be done after season two. I mean, season one was pretty enjoyable in the end, but season two has just been a disappointment, particularly the last few episodes. Maybe it's because I read the novels and got my expectations too high...

I think it's too little, too late for me now.

Deym! If I only have money I would buy those to show support to them.

"World Purge-hen" better mean that they're going to kill all the anime densemen who only have a stiffy for their childhood friends/1st supernatural girl but still prevent other guys from getting the 4-5 better girls.

It is amazing how shitty animes like IS get sequels while good ones do not...

Reading the synopsis I know this will be hilarious. I hope Charlotte, Laura, Ling, and Tatenashi get big roles. My guess is that while the girls are fantasizing Tatenashi will get some alone time with Ichka :3

IS is one of those "so bad is good" shows I'm watching atm but I'm not gonna bother with an OVA, probably filled with stupid fanservice.

Season 2 just finished airing, time to re-watch the first season then after that watch the season 2 and then this :3

I will probably watch it, solely on pure loyalty to Laura Bodewig. That's it, season two was such a let down.

Infinite Stratos is probably one of the mindlessly stupid animes I've ever watched. No story, a bunch of fanservice, an idiot main character, overly lustful girls. Like what the hell is this...

And i guess people people will enjoy their favorite girls turning into the perverts they really are...........expect for Houki.

Well then you're probably gonna be disapointed but theres definitely gonna be more focus on the girls here and probably a little plot depending on whether they follow the LN or just go all out on the fanservice....

this OVA will probably be nothing. The series had its chances to be interesting, but isntead the author went for the route of purely lazy writing, it's a shame.
