Whoa this is getting really crazy now.

All hell breaking loose with Beyond the Boundary! Aki's mom was pretty funny though. I had to face palm when she emerged from that armor.

Sakura on this episode was 11/10.

Also, nice fights.

Justin.tv was not working on me earlier.

There are few changes after he's not youmu and megane girl is gone. Explanation from that lady who summoned megane girl then to the guy. A text message from her?? She's still fighting elsewhere. Floating cute girl. Megane girl suddenly came back to their world.

That weird mother's appearance! She knows about megane girl. There's a part of Kyoukai no Kanata? So she hides her true "identity" through weird clothing and attitude. Wow, him admitting that he's a hentai who likes megane. OP for the second time for inserted song before ED.

Next ep. = Final ep.

This anime finish whit 12 or 13 chapterss? should be 13 you know if issued on the wednesday 25 dec? (date spain)

I cried. I'm still crying. Damn

You gotta love Akihito's Mother.

Good episode but Dat ending was on another level! Really Awesome!

Liking Mirai's fight scenes.

Aki's mom is so randomly hilarious and one HOT MILF ;)
I'm still waiting for Aki's dad to appear. I'm sure he's the person who knows everything and she only learned all this stuff from him.

The ending of the ep got so crazy epic. Dat running scene and Mirai stabbing herself was awesome!

Nxt ep seems intense too. Let's see :D

But, I'm a little confused about Akkey and Mirai's relationship....mah

And they finally made me cry.

Episode was very good overall, really a nice build up from last week and if they manage to finish it well I think this might be one of the best animes this year.

But...What is up with Mirai? She should have died a few times already, mostly that last one where she stabbed her own chest... there is something going on here.

That Kyokai No Kanata OP insert at the end was brilliant. Makes for one badass episode.

For some reason I have a vibe of different anime series I've seen from each Kyoukai no Kanata episode. I got a strong Ralgun feel from this one.

This episode felt more like a setup for the climactic ending than anything else so I can't judge it without the two last episode. Let's wait and see

Awesome episode. Had me feeling when he was reading her message. The ending scene was to awesome. The song op with it went perfect. Can't wait till next Wednesday

Lol not to be a buzzkill but I'm still cringing from how cheesy this episode was: "I don't feel unpleasant..." "Make sure to get ready to kick her back to the moon," *makes a break to save Kuriyama*

Nevertheless, the action and the animation are amazing as usual.

I love how the first time we actually see Akihito's mom she ends up getting uppercutted by her son lol

All the action going on while Akihito was reading Mirai's message was pretty cool. The message was pretty sad too.

I can't lie, that ending with the OP song insert was pretty badass.

Two TV channels (ABC Asahi and TV Aichi) listed episode 12 as the last episode whereas Tokyo MX isn't. I wonder which one is right...
The preview clearly said next episode is the last episode though. I guess episode 13 is a bonus episode?

Edit: Tokyo MX updated their schedule and also listed episode 12 as the last episode now.

I'm guessing the 13th episode will be an OVA?

i can not understand why this anime have not high regard on this site i mean he clearly doesn't deserve 7 !!

I'm surprised its almost 8 cause barely nothing much happened plot wise until like around episode 8.

Plus I can't really connect with the characters like I did with Free!, Kokoro Connect, and Chuuinbyou.

Well that was a clusterfuck of incidental on the spot exposition and stuff happening.



A 4 or soft 5 seems much fairer in my book.



Thirteenth up is supposedly a Christmas special that will air after 12. I have a feeling its unrelated to the mess happening now so looks like is has 20 minutes to wrap up next week

Well that escalated quickly at the end. It's only 12 episodes though?

So my guess was spot on mostly from last week's build up.

That being said, the pacing in this episode was pretty fast. Especially that ending fused with the Opening Song, so many things happened, I had to rewind a bit on what was going on.

Kuriyama sent him, one very long phone message, probably maximized all the characters. That was one helluva random way to send messages via flying printed paper to meet at the literary club, his mother's logic is beyond the boundary.

And of course, holy hell he charged the relic with a car battery plugged into it while having a soliloquy explaining the plot points.

The mother and son rough relationship was really new and funny.

On a serious note, I do want to know how did his mom get the Youmu stone which Kuriyama grabbed after the whole Hollow Shadow aftermath and thought it was worthless piece of rock. The mother's appearance was really a plot convenience but I believe there might be a deeper explanation for her "all-knowing" attitude.

I understand the "catch 22" Izumi was in, but did she have to be such a cold-hearted bitch about it? I mean, seriously?!
Akihito's mother... *smh*

The next episode is the last one? I thought there were 13 episodes.

Not the only one, I was thinking of how cheesy her text was too. I think if it was a little shorter it might've been more effective for me. But still cute I guess because Mirai's changed so much since the beginning.

That ending though had me go wtf is happening. The action looks pretty cool as always but for some reason I didn't really understand it.

Best episode of the series for me. Not a classic by any means but still very enjoyable.

Is Akkey's mom the youkai or the human?

I very much wish they hadn't wasted time on petty episodes like the one where they sing to catch that youmu. 20 minutes doesn't feel like nearly enough to finish this anime. This episode was really fast paced but so amazing that I just loved it.

what an epic episode. .that ending, animation and bgm doesn't make me tired replaying it..

Good stuff, I wish we didn't have to go through the first 6 crappy episodes before.

Really love this show, but I hope they explain and wrap-up everything well. Unless they have a second season, which would be great.

Only 2 more episodes to go! I think Kyoukai no Kanata is up there for surprise of the fall season. By the way, anyone else thinks that the ED in this is flawless? That song is just so awesome! Can't wait for next week!

His mom was quite amusing too. Though I do wish they got a bit into his history/backstory or something.
