The Top 5 manga make me very happy.
JOHJ is so bad it's good again and deserve its ultra crappy, campy and awesome adaption by GONZO or so, the Rohan anthology bundles some cool oneshots I always wanted to get and the rest is just the usual high quality I've come to expect from the series.
Stone Ocean adaption when?

I am pretty sure that there are not enough novels out right now for another season?

Yeah. They adapted six volumes and both additional one(at least most of it) if I remember right. So making new season means making it at least half anime-original. Same goes for Haganai btw

So Oricon considered this a "manga" that's why I don't see it in Novel sales. It's more like an Illustrated Novel than an actual LN though..

Anyway, YAY it ranked! The next volume will be the FINAL one for s2 looking forward to the sales if it ranks

Time for a Terra Formars adaption. PLEASE?

Also expecting an anime for Sakamoto at this rate. Seeing a Jojo Spinoff do well is also awesome. As for my wishlist, that would be a new season for Oofuri <3.

Aesthetic value can be recognized or experienced, but it cannot be conveyed to those who are incapable of grasping its sensations and perceptions. To quarrel on its behalf is always a blunder.

Brain Base owns us a second season of Durarara before they should consider a second season of anything else they had worked on.

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

What sales numbers did you predict for Oregairu and why do you think it didn't hit the target?

Additionally, do you think Monster Musume has a good chance for an anime adaption?

Well OreGairu was consistently at top of Amazon ranking so I was expecting it would get near 100k mark. It turned out the weakened IS franchise (vol.8) still beat OreGairu (with the same number of days on sale, by 83k to 81k)

The premise of the manga is eccentric and unconventional - I am not sure how many anime fans find half-beast-half-girl form moe. It plays well on manga but anime could be a very different world. I see chances of its getting anime but I am sure it would be taken as some challenge for anybody taking this up.

There was a special chapter of OPM on Weekly Shounen Jump on issue 51. Could that be another reason?

^ I would think that the major reprint would be a much more significant factor. Pent-up demand is met in one go, resulting in tens of thousands of copies sold right away.

Yes.
Start reading it, rate it 3/10 max. and continue to laugh at how hilariously stupid everything is.
I personally hope for bad anime adaption as well!

Only volumes 1 and 6 of OreGairu have recorded total sales of over 100k - the former due to the anime boost and the latter due to both that and the half year rankings. Getting 81k in the first week is thus impressive. It's more than double what volume 7 sold on its first week.

Also I believe this is the first time that YuuShibu has ranked on the LN list.

Four more novels and we might see OreGairu season two... great sales, hopefully shows a bump to volume six numbers before the tail falls off. Great writing, deseving of the sales and praise.

On LNDB Mecasonic, where I posed the same question, said Yuushibu 2 had 7K sakes and the first volume sales week data is missing.

It seems that these threads were only using data from the top 30 back then (rather than from the top 50 like they do nowadays). So it's normal that Yuushibu vol 2 and a few other volumes (such as Accel World volume 1, Haiyore Nyaruko-san volume 2, Sky World volume 1 and Ore ga Ojou-sama Gakkou ni "Shomin Sample" Toshite Rachirareta Ken volume 2) don't appear in that thread since their ranks were in the 30-50 range and thus not in the top 30.

I suspect it benefited a lot from Attack on Titan's success, because the hilarious cockroach design reminds people of the Titan designs. But the series feels a lot more like a mindless slasher flick in the mold of Gantz rather than a series with plot like Attack on Titan, so I am not sure if a Terra Formars anime can become a success.

oregairu just amazing... that makes sense.
after all we need season 2 :')

owarimonogatari in 17 really bad 'cause i love monogatari series. out of expectations
Will be probably until winter/spring 2015 before there are enough OreGairu novels out for season 2 unfortunately. But I also look forward to it.

OwariMonogatari is in 17th place this week but look at the TOTAL sales in the last number column:
17. *6,109 180,672 Owarimonogatari

180K !!! It's doing great! And, it costs ¥1500 per volume while most other light novels are ¥500-700 so in fact that 180K is like even more volumes of regular light novels compared to the actual money coming in.

Owarimonogatari overtook hanamonogatari in total recorded sales this week. Next one above it from that series is koyomimonogatari on 188.5k.

P.S. kind of off topic but I was looking back at old rankings lists and found this:
*2, 40,839 *40,839 Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wakeganai vol.3
*6, 24,173 *24,173 Sword Art Online vol.1

I really don't get why Terra Formars is popular.

Because it is fucking awesome.

It'd be nice if he hadn't killed of the best character though.

Time for a Terra Formars adaption. PLEASE?

Also expecting an anime for Sakamoto at this rate. Seeing a Jojo Spinoff do well is also awesome. As for my wishlist, that would be a new season for Oofuri <3.

The show is shit, just face it. But I guess people need to understand that the JOHJ are not actually /Viggers
