| Ichika and Houki both have the only two 4th gens, but especially in season 2 they look like crap. Tatenashi has an IS that can manipulate water. The leader of Phantom Task has some weird Gold Dragon looking IS. Hell even Laura's IS has a haxxed ability with her ultimate shield. Houki's is okay, but imo worse than at minimum those 3. And honestly Ichika's IS seems average to below average. And I am not talking about his piloting skill. He has limited long range capability and a crappy beam sword the kills his own shields. Did the author forget Houki and Ichika should have the 2 best IS? Or is he going to bust out some level 3 and 4 shifts later on. |
| They're suppose to work together. Byakushiki with the Reiraku Byakuya that can pierce energy shield but consumes a lot of energy and Akatsubaki with the Kenran Butou to replenish that energy. Individually they may seem shit but together they can be unstoppable. If only Houki can actively use Kenran Butou that is. Also, Laura's AIC isn't that haxxed as Ichika and Charl worked around it in that tag match. I'll give you the Mysterious Lady though, nanomachines are haxxed. And it's still up to the pilot. Just because they have the best suits doesn't mean they should be the strongest. And 4th gen doesn't really sound that strong if you look at it properly. Fold-Up armor without need of any new armaments and the One Off abilities. Finally, Yumizuru is a shit author so don't really expect anything more from this. Just watch/read it for the girls. |

| You just admitted its haxxed. Laura only lost in a two on one, and arguably if it had a better pilot like M or Tatensahi it would be even more hardcore. tatensahi's IS gets more ridiculous because apparently she now made it herself. And making something relient on a pair is just asking for trouble and inherently flawed. So not only does Ichika get handicapped by being a male, never learning about IS, getting a IS that kills itself, he then needs to act in tandom to be serviceable. But the IS thing is not the only thing pissing me off. Why is Ichika the main character yet he is still the weakest. In a harem shonen the main male is supposed to be the strongest, but Ichika has not progressed at all. And how the hell did Houki go from C to S. Do they go in reverse in the IS world and S is really bad, because I cant see Houki beating any of the other girls even in a one on one, so how is she S class. |

| Its okay if an MC is kind of a loser, as long as he grows. Lets face it, Issei in DxD needed 5-6 Lns to step up his game. And Even Touma has many characters that can and do beat him, but still holds his own. But with Ichika, its like even if he progresses a little, someone like Houki out paces him in the same period. Charl has arguably the weakest IS out of the mains and can pretty much beat him no problem. Its like the elements and potential is there, but the author just cant or wont do anything with it, better off in the hands of someone else. |
