| According to an announcement on a radio show done by seiyuu Chiaki Omigawa, the voice of Maka in "Soul Eater," the spin-off manga "Soul Eater Not!" will be receiving an anime adaption. No other information on the anime was given during the show. "Soul Eater Not!" began serialization back in 2011 and has recently come back from hiatus after its parent story "Soul Eater" ended back in August. | I think this is great news, I really enjoyed reading the manga. Too bad no scnalation group is working on it so we haven't seen a new chapter in like 1.5 years. So I'm looking forward to this adaption. |

| I will watch it, but I'm still patiently awaiting the day we say an announcement for a new Soul Eater anime with the original story. Not! could be good too. I hope this anime can promote that possibility, but still kinda disappointing to see it's Not! that gets one instead. |

| This is an extremely disapponting news. Instead of animating the rest of original soul eater (which got wrecked very bad by its crappy ending) they pick the soul eater NOT which is much inferior in terms of about everything ranging from characterizations and plot. Not to mention that soul eater NOT basically disregards lots of characters developments and interactions in favor of yuri shipping. Oh man~i want my interesting Black star and soul back, not these braindead chicks with their cheesy dialogues |

| Recently done reading the Soul Eater Manga and found out that there's a lot of deviation in the SE's anime version in the last part. They should have remade the anime instead. And I've heard that Soul Eater Not's story is totally different from SE which is the reason why I did not read SEN anymore.. But I guess it is indeed better than nothing... |

| Going off the small portion I've read this is actually pretty enjoyable and like chibi-Alice said the original characters appear in it as well. The new characters are also quite nice and we get to see the the soul eater world from the perspective of a weapon. | Eh, lets just hope that if this does well they may consider pulling a Brotherhood with Soul Eater and giving the anime fans closer with animating the full original story. Any Soul Eater I guess is better than no Soul Eater. |

| I've pretty much given up on a remake of Soul Eater at this point. The manga ended, so theres no real need to make a new anime to promote it. Plus, the first anime didn't sell all that well in Japan to begin with. It certainly didn't pull FMA numbers. Soul Eater NOT is not completely a Spin-off series, its originally a prequel to the main series that focuses on different characters. But, as the two series continue their plots do interact with each other a bit. In my opinion, Soul Eater has always been a mix of Naruto, Harry Potter, and Tim Burton. So if the main series focuses more on the Naruto side of the universe, then NOT is more on the Harry Potter side of the universe. It contains a lot of world building that didn't really happen in the main series due to the plot. NOT explains how people get accepted into the DWMA, and what their lives are like in a way that the main series never does. Plus there is a villain introduced who has a connection to the main series as well. |

And I can't really say anything about the bigger budget, AoT killed me so I can see your point and I personally thought the ending of soul eater was perfect for the kind of manga that soul eater was. |

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
