Riki #1 idiot, why go to that house?
Go somewhere random instead of that predictable location.
This actually was pretty good, now it only has to remain like this.
Cheap tricks indeed...

They rushed the end but they went there to stay with Rin and kyousuke grandfather who Kyousuke cant stand but it turn outs no one lives there anymore which Riki found out to late so they got arrested for trespassing.

Not even half as badass :/

But leaving aside how the VN was, I still thought this episode was awesome~
Not a very big spoiler but contains portions from VN which were "skipped" in the episode:
We got to see their bathing scene but it was only like 3 seconds and they didnt talk at all :/

The ending seemed a bit rushed but the statement was clear no matter where they go Kyousuke knows where they are.
The question is does he really the ones that influences everything or is there more to it, the other characters seem to know things as well.
Not to mention several characters disappearing a couple of episodes ago.

Mmmm that is a good point, that really was quite flushed out.

Oh, no wonder it sounded so familiar because i've actually heard this song before. Didn't realise it was the same one used for this episode.

So I understand Rin's arc is cut into two parts in the VN. Could anyone tell me, where Rin 1 ended and where Rin 2 began?

You can't access to Rin 2 until you have completed all routes and Rin 1. This one is the same as the beginning of Rin 2 but Riki automatically tell Rin not to go. She accept and he suffers from a narcolepsy attack. Then, you come back to title screen. Consider it as a bad end. ^^

I haven't played Rin 2, but if I'm not mistaken Rin 1 ends after Rin's last mission, ending it with Riki having narcolepsy after rejecting idea of "Rin going alone to some other school" and something telling you that Riki is not strong enough and tada~ bad end. Yeah, basically it's "Go through all the other routes first!"

For the episode itself, I think from what I read the cutting of Rin 2 is not really important and can be deduced by the short clip : Riki and Rin is still not an adult yet. If it's for better Refrain, I can live with that.

The rest are awesome, and I cant wait for Refrain.

Wow was a great episode, was glad at least Kendo was on Riki's side, would like to hear Masato's story though, why he's with Kyousuke, he seems to be a bit reluctant to help though.

Best episode in all of Little Busters so far. This season is so much better than the first one and this episode shows exactly why. It focuses so much more on the drama and keeps to just one main story (Kurugaya's arc led into the real plot very nicely).

We finally get to see more of the relationship between the original Little Busters, especially Kengo, who was left out of a lot of the first season. Rin and Riki's relationship is so great and this episode showed how much Riki has matured recently and how determined he is to protect Rin even if it means going against one or more of his best friends. Definitely a 5/5 episode.

Kyousuke is the "bad" guy even though he's only doing it for Rin's good.

Depressed lonely Rin is sad (TT).

Dat punch and scream!!!So that was Kyousuke's CHEAP TRICK.

Was so happy when Riki and Rin ran away, got scare when I noticed they were on a bus I thought...

Dat flashblack,so sweet. And dat last scene with Riki protect Rin from the police ;.;.

Animation seemed better than usual this episode.

I am sure "refrain" will explain it all, but I don't really understand why everything is so dramatic. The stakes are really not that high. They are in high school, and in less than 2 years Rin and Riki will graduate. They can choose to live together, go to university together, or whatever they want. Why does her spending a few months at another school ruin their entire lives?

I also don't understand why Kyousuke is playing the villain role without a real motivation beyond "making Rin mature". It is probably all tied into the secret of the world, but it seems pretty cruel at this point.

I read the VN and I agree with ur statement of how rin 2 was too dramatic. It wasn't like she was raped or anything. As for kyousuke playing the villian, let's just say it's his tough love for riki and rin. You'll see

Apart from the over dramatic moments here and there, it was great episode nonetheless. It's getting better. :)

As someone who played through the visual novel, I was really hoping they would dedicate a whole episode to Riki and Rin after running away. Fast-forwarding it during the credits was a terrible idea.. it was ridiculously rushed.

But it's done that way for the sake of Refrain.

And I believe we've got lots of complaints about that here so many goddamn times. Well, I did complain but it's not because Rin's arc is rushed(Actually, I was surprised but neither on a positive nor negative way) but it's because of how it was ended. But I don't particularly care anymore and I'll just see this adaptation through the end.

I honestly don't honestly see what was so wrong with rushing through those parts anyway. TBH, they were mostly meaningless slice-of-life that broke up the pacing somewhat. But let's stop here before we get off-topic again.

WOW this Episode were amazing,
but on my opnion the whole situation get out
of control on really stupid way instead of runing away like
a 6 years old couldnt Rin just go to 1 of the teachers/principals
tell them her story and that she dont want to keep with this
and that she want to back to her own school,
Riki also could have go and tell the story and show them Rin Messages...........

If they would of dedicated a whole episode for that it would of been the worst episode of the season, quite hsppy they didn't.

So that's it? The elopement. I would have thought it would last longer given how much the fans of the VN talked about it. It seems the police got them in just a few days, perhaps even after one night.

Also, I have some idea of what Kengo saw in the baseball match but I think it was not ever mentioned who the girl was in the anime?
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

im agree with this, by the fact that they put only 13 episodes, episodes are by far really better, anyone i know have just fallen in love with the second season over the first

p.s of course people who played VN will be sad a bit on some parts, but overall i just think that its great to have did this

It was Miyuki from episode 25 of the first season.

It's heavily implied that Kyousuke has some 'influence' so I doubt that'd work. If he has the power to set it up so that she gets selected for the sister school and change things that he can get her to come home early, I doubt the teachers are a viable option to Riki. Also, you said that they ran away like 6 year olds. That's sort of the point. Riki and Rin's flaws as characters are that they're just kids still.

Thanks everyone. I now remember her. She was the girl whom Kengo saved from jumping from the roof and so got his hand injured, right? I forgot she wore an eyepatch so I could not tell she is Miyuki Koshiki.

I guess Kengo got angry with Kousuke for him seeing Miyuki should provide plenty of hint about the secret...

Yes! I am actually genuinely pleased with this episode for once! Probably my favorite episode out of Refrain.

The baseball scene was done right and I am very VERY happy with that.
THAT ANIMATION OF KENGO SCREAMING. YES!
They got the voice acting too! YES!
CALLED GAME! HELL YEAH!
(Although I think the subs should have read just, "Called Game" Instead of "This game is called." but whatever I loved it)
First time in 6 episodes I am pleased. :D
MY HOPE IS REVIVED!!!

Also, regarding the Miyuki dilemma, I think this scene had a much bigger impact for Vn readers than anime-only watchers unfortunately.
I think that's where the disagreement is from. They only saw this person for one freaking episode! How is it that this person has such a big impact on Kengo's reaction? Dafuq?!

On another note, I'm glad they time-skipped the running away scene because IMO, that little drama was really...I dont know... bland? Dull? Unrealistic? So yes, props on that.
some sound direction could have gotten better, but I am again, generally pleased :D.

If the entire season is like this, It just may go up to a 8 or 9 for me.
Keep up the work JC.
Fingers still crossed.

I don't remember how long it lasted in real-time, but playtime-wise they basically squeezed in several hours in two minutes (credits part alone) so yeah...

Well, if you see the screenshots for the next episode, they will use that as the starting scene for episode 7.

Concerning the 'overusing' the faraway theme: I think it's kind of ok.

It's a viable strategy to use the instrumental version a few times to make the viewers remember "this theme plays when sad and emotional things happen".
Then, at the designated moment, when they play the vocal version, some people might not really notice that it's the same thing but I bet they will subconscioulsy register that "this music is for emotional moments" and that will get some additional feels for them.

(Though I personally think that the instrumental version is actually more beautiful than the vocal version, I will also have to admit that having a song in the background during an emotional scene is much more effective than just bare music)

Little Busters!: that anime where you decide the future of a girl over a baseball game. LOL!

Anyway, it seems that Refrain stuff will finally start next week. I'll finally see where the hype is coming from.

So I was wrong on every place Faraway (instrumental) plays in the VN, but JC Staff is still using it too much.

This isn't how I was expecting it to be, but... *sighs* onward to Refrain indeed...

Love this awesome episode.

Although I'm not the VN reader, but there's one thing in this episode that keeps me wondering and I can, more or less, predict what Kyousuke is trying to accomplish.

Again, all just based on my hunch and I might be wrong at some point.
