What device do you mostly use to watch anime?

I also thought it would be a good idea to watch BDs in 1080p and normal releases in 720p, I already have Bakemonogatari BDs in 1080p and it looks great. So what media player should I use to play 1080p in my laptop? I also tried the HDMI cable with my sister's laptop and it just doesn't look really good compared to the PS3 and I'm not just talking about the videos I played in the laptop but even the pictures and games. |

This is a good guide for high quality playback. There's an installation option (Kawaii Codec Pack) for people who don't want to do lots of customisation. http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=516729&show=0 I'm not sure what the PS3 has for video playback, but that is to do with what settings you have in your VLC player. If the PS3 looks better to you, then it shouldn't really matter how you play it. However, if the PS3 can't play certain files... then i'd advise to follow the guide I linked (or install the Kawaii Codec Pack) to watch 1080p from your laptop -> HDMI -> TV. |

| I voted other. It used to be my laptop (hooked up to my TV) but now I use my PS3 due to the Crunchyroll app. That's far and away my #1 device. Distant second would be my phone as I use that if I'm visiting family or something and want to watch anime. |
