It would've looked so much better Well it's unnecessarily flashy for the serious and subtle mood the scene was going for is why they didn't I'm sure. That was literally just for promotional purposes. |

I just realized that the whole LB! series skipped all my favorite parts of the common route xD. Well I'll forgive them if they manage to pull Refrain off. |

Great episode, even though the animation has fallen compared to the previous chapter and being a transition, do not worry much greater detail. Ok they changed some things, but I've been predicting this, not discouraged, even more because the characters are well explored focus not thought Riki could be this great protagonist being. The best scene was the end for sure, expect this meeting, only missed the quality of VN with Kyousuke holding Lennon;; |

I was 90% sure that they were going to go through the tour guide part pretty quickly. I hoped that they finished it within 5 minutes and montaged the events, and they did it in 6, so I got what I expected. I re-read/skimmed parts of Rin 2, and there was SO much dialogue that should've taken priority over the tour guide parts. I thought it was handled really well and the monologues were actually focused on something. Glad we'll get "CHEAP TRICK$!!" next episode under the better JC Staff episode director(s), given that it will be the end of a route. |

It's a very satisfying experience seeing my favorite VN character have this much awesomeness in an anime adaption. Kyousuke continues to live on in my heart as the greatest! Shame they had to skip the practice sessions though... I really wanted to see that scene where Masato jokes with Sasasegawa. But it's understandable. Glad they at least packed in a lot of significant scenes with this episode. |

Whoa, I was waiting for that damn scene with Kyousuke holding Lennon from PV, and they made it look just lame in the anime T^T I think JC just hates me. No tsukkomi scenes... Well, it was kinda obvious. Cheap Tricks better look freaking awesome, or else I will seriously cry in my emo corner. But besides that it was a decent episode, blushing Rin was love, Masato was a love. Animation is still off though, they better fix it. Btw, what new OST? I didn't catch up anything, which scene was it? Also, Rin's yandere rapeface will haunt me this week in my nightmares: http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/5779/vp66.png |

The episode was actually very well done in my opinion! They more or less skipped the school tour part (which I found to be very long in the VN). Rin and Riki moments were funny, and made the episode much better. The main scene, though - Riki confronting Kyosuke - could hradly be done any better. Loved how Kyosuke's character was portrayed at that moment (his attitude, appearance, actions), togetehr with the scene of running away. Reading through the thread, I'm surprised people didn't expect Kyosuke to be the one sending letters - I thought it was quite obvious even before Refrain. One more thing I liked - they didn't give any obvious hints this episode, which compared to the previous 4 is a good sign for the story development. Especially looking forward to the next week's episode - one of the best scenes of the anime incoming! And then everything else will begin... |

I must say if Refrain starts at seven they are going to cut a shitload of material in the next episode. This episode alone cut out four to six hours from the VN (IF I remember correctly). Mainly getting Rin to speak properly and be a good tour guide. I can just imagine how much is going to be cut next episode to basically start and finish Rin 2. As long as Refrain isn't screwed up I'll be okay, but I wish they could've gotten an extra three or four episodes in for this season. |

KeyIsLove said: This episode alone cut out four to six hours from the VN (IF I remember correctly). 4-6 hours? The entire Rin1+2 route takes like 2.5 hours, MAX to read. They cut content, but they didn't cut out 4-6 hours of content. They cut out maybe 30-40 minutes of content at the most. Hell, Refrain doesn't even take 6 hours to read and it's almost twice the length of Rin's entire route. They have quite a bit of content to fit next episode, but it's not impossible. They won't build up quite the same amount of tension that began to build up in Rin 2, but the sudden ending that Rin's route has may have all the more impact from how quick it happens. It could be like with Kurugaya's route, how Kurugaya's time seemed shortlived, or whatever. As for Refrain's pacing, 7 episodes is about 2.5 hours worth of content, and the route takes about 5 hours to read. Refrain will have the most episodes per amount of lines in the source material, and Jun Maeda packed Refrain with a lot of flashbacks, character observation details, self-reflection, etc. Examples of thoughts: //At that moment, I feel something on my head. //...A drop of water. //The rain quickly begins hammering on the ground. //Kyousuke's voice echoes through the sports ground. There are a lot of times when this happens, and they can be added as subtle character/environmental details in the anime. And again, I think the tour guide part was unnecessary, even if it was funny. Not sure why I keep posting all this stuff. I need to stay off the forums, but I like to add to the speculation. |

This is not even Refrain yet. Hold your horses. A good episode, cut out a whole bunch of content regarding practicing for the event, but well, the ending wasn't bad. Lots of foreshadowing the events to come. However, cutting out the practice means that Episode: Kyousuke won't be able to recount that part, which sucks. Kyousuke talking about how difficult it is to mature Rin was a really good part... Oh, and screw CHEAP TRICKS! Called Game is when shit gets real. Don't listen to those CT fanboys. |

Hi people. After spending two damn hours of my life playing FIFA 14 (finally bought it yesterday, AFTER 1 MONTH WAITING), I decided to watch the episode. Ok chapter. As I could see, Rin´s training part was omitted (It gave me some LOLs in the VN...) but the scene of the inspection was fine. The rest of the episode was good, introducing the secret of the world and Refrain. IT´S COMING!!!!, I CAN´T STOP SAYING IT BUT... IT´S COMING!!!! It looks like the plot twist has left confused a lot of Anime-only viewers, and they´re making their own hypothesis about what´s happening... dat´s good. Bros, I´ll not say anything to spoil You, but If Refrain is well executed and it´s a sucess: Your faces: and then, a lot of You: ;D PS: CHEAP TRICKS |

Kengo's rage and Kyousuke's "called game" go hand in hand, but Kengo's line comes first. The "cheap tricks" part is the whole reason that everything turns out the way it does, and they're what a good portion of Kengo's arc is about, and part of Kyousuke's. Anyway, here's the countdown for the simulcast: http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20131109T10&p0=198&msg=CHEAP+MOTHERFUCKING+TRICK%24%24 |

Half breed part VN reader - part anime only watcher here, and this is an awesome episode. The "who" behind the secret of the world is obvious from season one, especially at the start of second season where they insert a "random" scene where Kyousuke said that he will "I will start a new, no matter how many times it takes" and the OP lyrics is basically a walking "1001 Little Busters Foreshadowing Parade". So, it's pretty much could be speculated that (No spoiler here, just some speculations that could be interpreted from all of the foreshadowing and symbolism from the anime. Could be a spoiler if turns out to be true) : > There's some kind of "time loop" happening in the background, backed by Kyousuke's statement from episode one and strange flow of time and events, something that Riki realized at Kurugaya's arc (and many other clues). Time loop elements also traditionally have become the backbone meat for a lot of masterpiece VN, so it's not surprising if they use them here. The question should be "what kind of time loop that happens here?" since there are a lot of details that quite confusing here. > Most likely time loop is possible since the current world is a kind of "another world/dimension", but I still can't clearly speculate in details. > I think we could say that Kyousuke should be the mastermind or someone with high authority/influence to the world, but there seems to be a lot of different "views" regarding this world coming from the rest of members: Further speculation - Kyousuke is the mastermind. - Riki and Rin are the "main characters" in this another world. - Kengo and Masato are all knowing of this world/plan. Possibly they have different stance about this plan, since Kengo is almost always distancing himself from the others and probably didn't really agree with the plan (especially in the beginning) and Masato seems to be the one who decided to trust all of them and quietly supporting Riki. Komari is the supporter for Rin's side. This is further symbolized by their faces in the OP and some promo materials. - I have no idea how they could involve the other girls. But basically Riki this episode must be at least half-right about their role in Kyousuke's plan. The next question should be "where did they come from?". "Why they could 'vanish' in the previous episode? (and in a lot of other events)" And this episode finally bring the last piece of puzzle This episode basically tell that a lot of girls from the neighborhood school were killed in the accident. Of course that last guess is pure speculation since that's the first clue that I could grab regarding the mystery of the girls, so I guess we need further clues. And this episode also bring something that I think never happened in other Key works. Key works were always sad. But creepy? Dang, that last event is a pure FEEL. Bring the next episode NAO!!! EDIT : Please don't confirm this speculation lol, except if you're another anime-only viewers and want to speculate together with me. |

I have a pretty big gallery of JC Staff's hints in the LB anime. It's near 200 pictures worth of foreshadows, and at LEAST 50% have been JC-Staff original foreshadowing. It's probably closer to 70%. I wrote explanations for the pics, though, so I won't post it yet. It's on the VN discussion, and I'll post the final gallery once the anime finishes. |

AnimeFan500 said: Didn't Komari disappear last episode???? Did she come back to support Rin with her decision to transfer school? Speculations When Kyousuke mentioned about accident..... Did Rin and Riki die in that accident or maybe just Riki. In the Op song everyone is sad- Masato, Kengo, Kyousuke, and Rin. Did this incident disband the Little Buster???? Is Kyousuke trying to prevent this from happening? I wont comment on this at all. Any theory is sorta like trying to defuse a bomb even if none of it is correct. Lets just say, "wait and see if you're right." All these speculative theories will start to crop up sooner or later from the anime only viewers, kind of makes me happy to see what people come up with though the real issue with LB! is that many people have spoiled the ending on these forums and many others over and over and over again anyone could easily accidentally read the information. Granted, when i reread the VN knowing full well whats about to happen i still get really emotional, maybe not how i was when i first experienced it but i definitely cry like a bitch boy during some sequences. |

Hey here is a Secret to all Key Visual Novel/Anime (Except for Planetarian): Protag lives in the present working for future goals, while working towards said future goal during his present life his past is the future ( whether he knows it or not ) Basically all Key Visual Novels are the same... They plot it like this "Hey guys, what shall we do this time? choose one family, friends, mother relationship or a son trampling his mother as he walks out the door". |

Every VN Adaptation is usually like this. LB! is actually worse in this respect then most other VNs. No matter what they did it would be a slow start because of how the VN is structured. It is deliberately slow to start, when i first read it it took my like 5 restarts to get going into the VN its self because i was "bored". the pay off though is greater then many of the other VNs ive played so dunno. |
