This episode had more fight sequences than the previous one. I like how they paced the story. For those wondering why the escapees didn't put up much of a fight, they must have figured out to escape during the battle and flee with the enemy rather than to risk their lives again.

The rocket sequence was awesome. But that fan service though. Oh my god.

I guessed that Akito was Hyuuga's brother when Hyuuga(Akito's last name) was addressed to the commander. Guess I will have to wait for the next movie to see how this all pans out.

Atleast some of the characters got introduced in this. And that hacking sequence was good. Also, it seems that Akito has a rival, who is escorted by Suzaku himself! Wonder what Julius Kingsley is up to.

But that Golden Knightmare was awesome.

Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate.

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was bound to lead me to a slow death.

Some nice "plot" here and there, the action on the later half of the movie was pretty nice too.

These movies make me want to kill myself.

Allow me to list what I liked:
-The horse KnightMare was cool
-Akito had a cool face at the end
-The ED is alright
-The guy blushing for fist pumping made me chuckle
-Lelouch (it's so obvious, I'm not even going to bother referring to him as Julius)
What I didn't like:
-Everything else

This movie was so painfully bland and average it hurts me. The fact that this has the Code Geass name is an insult to the franchise. The animation probably was WORSE than the last movie and the CG continues to be some of the worst I have seen in any anime (seriously, if CG is 75% of your show make it decent). The characters continue to be bland and one note. I have no reason to care for anyone in this movie. The plot made no sense at all. What was the purpose of their mission? What did they accomplish? All they managed to do was lose a battle. And don't even get me started on how they started pulling words out of their asses that mean nothing to the viewer. What the fuck is a Malamud Flash? Stop doing this. I don't care who you are. Hollywood, Japan, Australia... In a fictional setting, throwing words around that mean nothing to the viewer doesn't make your world interesting. It makes me annoyed and confused. This shit gets a 5/10. I know I'm coming off as really angry, but that's only because I believe this movie is pissing on the franchise. Compared to other shows that I have below 5, it is alright.

Julius what now? That is Lelouch, it has to be. One thing I really want to see from this series is a fight between Akito &and his group and Suzaku, it would be such a blast. Akito influencing his group with his neuro powers and Suzaku with the help of Lelouch’s tactical instruments. It would be amazing.

Definitely more entertaining than the first movie but still not great, to be honest.

Animation Quality, especially during the space scene and the exhilarating action, was top-notch yet again and here’s to hoping this’ll be the case with the remaining 3 movies.

Starting to warm up to the MC now too, it seems.

A few questions brought up , meanwhile. Most important of which is surrounding the Geass ability - how’d the others, but not the leader, fall for the MC’s Geass-ed effect? I don’t recall any such “transmission” method from the OG series and aren’t the eyes required in the first place? And the other that’s obviously top priority too is how the heck Lelouch is here, since Geass can only be used on the same person once and Charles clearly used his one up at the end of S1.

I know I probably shouldn’t take this series so seriously since I’ve heard of potential plot-holes in advance but these kind of really irked.

Anyway, 2/5 done and 3 more to go. I wonder how things will play out from here and ultimately conclude.

It feels like some random mech anime with the Code Geass name attached to it. The first two episodes barely felt like CG. Where is the fun? Where among this anime's new cast is their version of Lelouch, Jeremiah, Cornelia, Lloyd, or Charles? You know... Someone hamming it up? Everyone here is just bland and boring. It feels way too dry... Too dull. And the soundtrack is pretty unremarkable compared to the great music the series has featured previously.

Btw, while the CG is solid, I feel this series loses a bit of its shine going to CG for the mech fights. I'm not a CG hater, but it made me miss the traditionally animated fluid mech fights from the show and four movies.

Upon rewatching Code Geass 3 times including the recap movies, all the plot holes, dumb writing, plot conveniences & contrivances became more apparent.

The Highly praised ending Zero Requiem also makes no sense and feels contrived and forced to gain sympathy for Lelouch

10mins of pathos sequence and the grandiose opera soundtrack sadly can't fix all the plot holes, dumb writing and contrivances.
He could've kept the throne and made change happen differently. Even the upcoming sequels can't fix any of these.
These are irrefutable facts and the people who watched the show for the first time are blinded by the ending.

I have no interest in the narrative, of course, it's supposed to be a side story taking place in the world out of many side stories that will come in the future (Dakkan Z), but I can't say this is interesting in any way. The action boards were once again the highlights but then again the action doesn't really go anywhere as even after the extensive action piece, the consequences didn't have any big change. Lancelot in the preview.
