I'm liking the intensity of both players so far. Dat epic pitch.

Strike out! Took more time than I had thought though. But I'm proud of Sawamura!

Yes! this Is what I've been hyping for the past month, I was very concerned after the first episode but this lifted my spirits.

On that note, I'm getting some weird Rainbow: Nisha vibes from this, anyone else?

Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

Second episode and I'm almost crying... ;_; But stupid baseball Eren had to ruin the moment with his raging/crying. Good episode overall, even if there was too much indecisiveness in the middle. I guess I understand where he's coming from: If I had to pick between my local high school vs a super big music school, it'd be a hard choice too.

Looking forward to the next episode!

Btw Miyuki is awesome.

What a bunch of nice friend. I feel that it will be hard for me to leave if I have a good friend like them.

Haha I said that last week, although this reminds me of Rainbow probably because of the artstyle and color palette used.

Great episode! Man, all that pitching in the beginning was intense, I'm also really liking Kazuya already. What a good senpai. I'm glad to see that he's one of the main characters. This episode really had everything, intensity, comedy, and was even heartwarming. The farewell scene was touching, especially when that one guy started crying, and everyone commented on how patient and positive Eijun had been when they started playing baseball. The scene was realy well done, I like the music when the train started moving, it was a perfect fit to end the scene and its emotions, it managed to get a few tears from me.

So much better than the first episode and the first episode wasn't even bad.

Well I didn't cry or almost cry since I have no soul apparently, instead it gave me a nice heartwarming friendship feel which was great.

I was a bit skeptical about this anime because I don't pay much attention to baseball. I watched other sport animes but nothing about baseball before. I'm glad I decided to watch this. Though it didn't have much action, the beginning got me excited and I almost dried at the end.

He is lucky to have such considerate friends. It was a touching moment when one of the fellows unbosomed his true feelings to Eijun at the end.

It's fun to watch this show as well as Hajime no Ippo and Kuroko no Basket. These each are unique and entertaining. Also it's fun to compare the show with Major baseball-anime wise. Goro of Major left the team without regret whilst Eijun of this show was torn between his ego and friendship and left the team with regret. Both are interesting. Since I had wanted to see some alternative solution when I had watched Major, I enjoyed the episode of Ace of Diamond.

Both parts were intense in their own way. That fast-paced intro gives to Eijun a pretty solid background for the upcoming baseball season.
Friendship really is my biggest weakness, tears reached my eyes when that guy said they wanted to play more with him.

+1 hehe. But I don't see her in the character list not to mention MC list so I guess we won't be seeing her for a while XD

Really good ep though. Loved the pitches in the first half. The feeling he was having of being awesome was nice XD. And Kazuya FTW!! The dude is awesome, really glad he's main :D...Also really loving the look in Eijun's eyes when he's serious. It's really nice

The end was really emotional. Gotta be a hard blow there. Acting like nothing for 6 months then when he's just leaving they explode with tears and tell him they wanted to play more with him ;_;

This episode was even better than the first, I can see Eijun and that catcher being good partners in the future, and that ending was so very emotional but sweet when all of his friends said that they still wanted to play baseball with him, I don't know how they were able to contain those feelings for those 6 months, that's what makes it really painful. But I hope things go well for him at Seidou.

I actually didn't like this episode, it felt too predictable. I feel like this show will live in the shadow of the likes of Major. That being said i despised the first episode of cross game, and it turned out to be one of the best anime i've watched to date. So hopefully this show is the same, it feels like all baseball animes have lackluster first episodes (to me at least) since i also disliked the first few episodes of ookiku, cross game and even parts of Major.

That's still a lot for one season and both kuroko no basket and hajime no ippo are ranked in the top 100 on MAL list even after 2 episodes. Usually there's only one or two sports shows in one season.

Oh I didn't know 4 was a large number then. XD Well, it's pretty understandable why the other two are more popular - they have previous seasons.

Manga-wise, this series and the cycling one (Yowamushi Pedal) actually has been around longer than Kuroko no Basket.

This series has 37 volume of manga at the moment (vol. 38 will be released this Thursday) and Yowamushi Pedal has 30 volume of manga at the moment, Kuroko no Basket only has 24 volume of manga at the moment.

Also, Kuroko no Basket popularity increased after S1 anime aired. I remember someone said that the manga wasn't that popular beforehand.

Wasn't at all expecting such a good episode after a rather okayish first episode! The ending scenes were so touching. This anime sure seems to be worth of a weekly follow!

MADHOUSE and Production I.G. aren't disappointing with their first ever (fill me in if I am wrong) collab, are they? Interestingly, they are already throwing everything they have got in Hajime no Ippo (MADHOUSE) and Kuroko no Basuke (Production I.G.) for bragging rights of best sports shounen anime this season. And they have this as a collab. :)

My mom scolded me a little for crying so hard.

The fact that I seem to be an extremely sentimental person aside, I've really enjoyed the first two episodes, this one especially. I haven't read the manga, but I'm sure this'll be a good anime.

Definitely feel the desire behind wanting to keep playing with your friends. But if Seijun's friends are willing to let him live his dream instead of being selfish and not let him develop, it is all for the better.

Judging from the preview though, that path to the nationals seems to be a long ways ahead. Looking forward to this series!
