It's not the Kenpachi of present time. he hasn't been captain for that long. And i think Kenpachi literaly means something like 'the ultimade sword master' , and in the SS arc Hanatarou mentions that the title 'Kenpachi' has been given for generations to the person that most love fighting and has killed the most people. |

His father probably. Nice, Kubo. The guy is visible on one panel of -107, if anyone's interested. |

| Honestly I'm about to drop this soon, I surprised myself a bit because I've kept watching Bleach including all the fillers up to this episode, quite honestly it's too much of an annoyance with so many fillers and little action. At this point i hope they finish the manga and let the anime progress with less fillers but i doubt that's going to happen anytime soon which is too bad. Lowered Rating from 9 to 6/10 |

| Woah, a lot of information in this episode. Not only do we see Shinji as Captain, but Aizen as his Vice-Captain!? It seems like all the Vaizards in the real world were former captains in the old era, what a pleasant surprise. Yoroichi/Urahara/Soifon young FTW!!! Their entire mini story was so fun and interesting. I love how Urahara just randomly jumped Yoroichi and initiated sparring haha. Soifon was pretty cute and Urahara was epic like usual. Aizen seems to have noticed something about Urahara already... interesting. The Royal Guard really intrigues me. I wonder how powerful they are. Yoroichi-Sama! |

| I feel like a lot is going to be revealed in this arc. Interesting start, the interactions between Urahara, Yoroichi and Soifon are nice. It's funny how Yoroichi keeps misunderstanding things. |

| So we get something like a flashback arc, hm. I hope it's gonna be worth it, for now Ichigo's everyday life in Karakura town is way more interesting than this, but let's suppose the setting for something big is being prepared right now. The vizards turn out to have been captains or vice-captains, I guess this explains their power levels. I don't like them in their old positions tho. And long hair doesn't suit Hirako imo. The Zero squad sound great though. |

But she should be in love with Urahara, dude is hot and awesome. Man, so many people who were basically traitors and left the Soul Society/13 Court Guard Squad. I wanna see what was gonna happen with Aizen, why we get this? hmph. |

| The “past arc”, that sounds intriguing from the title alone, really excited about this, I've been begging for something like this for so long now, let's just hope for a great world building and mystery revelations. It doesn't have to be heavy on fighting, just give us character development and expose everyone's motives. First of all, this is truly mind-blowing, Hiraku was a captain? Whhhhhhaaat? Not only that, but he was Aizen's superior master? This is too much for me to handle at once, I swear, I can't, this is insane. I still can't get over how everything looked so simple way back, maybe not so much, we've only been let out on minimal details regarding their problems at the time, but man, doesn't it feel so much more peaceful. I mean, they don't have an Aizen to worry about, at least, not yet. I love how bold Urahara has always been, the way Soifon acted towards him makes me want the pair to meet up again, I can only imagine her hot-headed attitude towards him. |
| This has the potential to become my favorite arc and I'm already pretty excited. The prospect of seeing and learning more about all the captains and former captains( in particular Urahara) alone is enough. I'm looking forward to some important details contributing to the story, crazy reveals and funny interactions. |
