Loved the interactions between Aki and Hachiken this episode. Dat memories. I think Hachiken learned quite a bit now since he first came here. It sure felt different for him when he was the new kid.

Baseball huh? I wasn't expecting to see that in this episode.

Decent series overall. I can't wait for the second half tbh. 8/10. So many piglets~

A good way to end a damn great first half. I can't wait to see the Autumn arc in Winter
I'll miss the ED though, one of the best of the season for sure

I love the little hints of jealousy Arakawa put in for Aki this early like dropping the eraser and now dropping the croquette

Overall good episode and a decent series

I loved the flashback. It makes you realise exactly how much he enjoyed his time there, considering it was a school he ran away from home to attend.

Hachiken never learns with the pig names ... I can't wait for the next season now, only a few short months away

Meh. This will end up going into my mental forgettable series list.

It's not something I would call bad but I just think all the characters are bland.

I loved the conversation Hachiken had with the principal about how it's okay to run away sometimes, and that looking back at all the experience Hachiken had at Ezoono, he doesn't actually regret it. It was a touching scene because I think it's really relatable ;_; perfect part to include in the last episode of the season. And of course, Hachiken naming all the piglets instead if just one, haha, gotta love him for that. He doesn't learn but he wants to struggle with the idea that you can't take the meat you eat for granted, which is also good and I think a respectable choice. Can't wait to see the second season during winter!

As usual Buddha sensei was hilarious with the cheeses problems XD

Hachiken onii-chan is so hilarious. I loved the scene when he was all serious then they showed his pockets full with bacon hahaha

Aki reacting to Hachiken being popular with girls always dropping stuff is so lol ;)

The principle is BA! Lol soo much at how he needed Hachiken to let him down XD

Hachiken naming the piglets again and Yoshino calling him a M was lol XD

This was a good episode. The principal made Hachiken realize an important lesson and I liked how the baseball team still won even though Komaba's first pitch got hit with a home run.

I enjoyed watching this series a lot (the best for me out the summer series I picked) It was very refreshing and relaxing to watch, not to mention the hilarious moments it had. I also liked Hachiken's development throughout the series, though some of the other characters were a little lacking they were all likeable. Looking forward to the second season.

I am going to have to have a bacon and cheese sandwich for lunch now...

Super episode to close out the season with. Hachiken has learned a lot over the first half of the year and it looks like Aki is really beginning to notice him. You know there are worse things in life than settling down to farm life while your wife raises horses... (and if you think I'm rushing things, I'd say that a good half of my rural graduating class were either engaged or married by graduation--particularly if they were taking over the family farm).
Please don't feed the trolls!

whaaat? only 11 episodes?

well, even though i read the manga, i find this still enjoyable. though in some places the manga added more funnier moments/better faces of the characters.

but all in all still decent, 8/10

Great ending to the most surprisingly pleasant series this summer for me. After not really liking the first episode, I really enjoyed every other one whether it was comedy driven or serious and development driven. I love the decision he made to go through it all over again even though it would surely hurt him.

And like Hybrid said, probably the best ED of the season.

Can't wait for season two, I do hope there's more focus on character interaction as everyone supports each other in pursuing their dream.

Solid ending. Cutest show of the season. And best one out of the ones I've followed. 8/10 but close to a 9. Looking forward to season 2! :) Winter, come faster.

Decent finale. I liked the ending scene where Hachiken determined to move on despite predictable hard time. It was funny not just his schoolmates but also his teachers praised his determination when he said he would give them bacon.

Overall I've been impressed at character development of the male lead throughout the entire series. Good work, the creator. Glad 2nd season starts next January.

It was a decent show. There is comedy, there is a unique theme and there is character development.
I just hope the next season will take care of fleshing out the supporting cast better and develop that romance point that hasn't been given too much attention yet.

7/10 A bit on the boring side, I have no interest in agriculture, and the lack of romance bothered me a bit. I doubt there will be a kiss scene by the end of the 2nd season.

This single episode, has joy flowing through me. I loved seeing Hachiken name the new piglets, and just plain everyone doing things. I enjoyed seeing Komaba doing his hardest in his dream, them eating all they meat(I think this is how Pork Bowl would want to go off, making others happy), and doing that stupid run back to school! If I had some friends like Hachiken's, of course I would do it as well!

I have to say, this is probably one of the best anime lately. Attack on Titan is there, TWGOK too, but Gin no Saji is special, it does everything humorously, and intelligently. It's a comedy that was done right. And I love it for each and every part of it! This episode, really hit the spot, and even though its not the greatest ending of all time, it sure as hell is satisfactory or more. A 2nd season is definitely wanted. AND I WANT TO SEE GYUDON, BACON AND THE PIGLETS, AND MORE OF THAT COMEDY WITH A SIDE OF ROMANCE! 9/10

I really enjoyed this series. Starting off I didn't think I would, but it really grew on me.

It was interesting to see how he would "fit in". He made so many friends and maybe a future girlfriend. His care for others is quite astounding. Why does he hate his parents so much though?

He said he got picked on during junior high and couldn't make college? (even though hes a smart guy).
I guess the pressure got to him. His brother seems really cool though. Id like to see more of him even though it always ends up awkward.

All this time with Mikage and yet I know nothing about her.... Its even hard to picture them together because shes quite bland. I'd like to know her better.

I'm hoping S2 focuses more on personal relationships.

I was kind of hungry in the beginning but that won't bother me XD. Well this is a good first half season and a good education of a diary farm XD. Though the show could have been a bit serious, and the romance development was sort of slow.

Giving this an 8/10. Can't wait for the second season in Winter 2014.

I don't think romance is suppose to be a key theme for this show...so expecting it will disappoint you.

I liked it. Bummed it only got 11 episodes for it's first season but given the time slot, such is life. It was educational, funny, and series. S2 should be much more eventful. Can't wait. But what to give it. 8 or 9/10

I'm actually glad there was minimal romance. I loved the focus on bromance, friendship, school days and family relationships. I don't really ship Mikage (is that her name?) and Hachiken in the first place.

I loved how this episode ended. Hachiken has matured so much through all these life lessons. However, Hachiken will still remain being his honest self and rather than change completely. Pork Bowl will be missed but now there's Bacon, Pork Cutlet Bowl, Ham, Char Siu, Pork Soup, Pork Cutlet and Ginger Pork. xD It's so obvious that Aki has feelings for Hachiken, she dropped the croquette thinking that girl who wanted Hachiken's bacon was going to confess. :P
5/5

Silver Spoon really surprised. I didn't think I'd enjoy an anime about agriculture school this much. I learned quite a bit too while watching this anime and really opened my eyes about certain things. Future ambitions, morals and how the farming industry works. Looking forward to season 2. :) Overall score 8/10.

I didn't pick this up straight away because I thought it looked a bit dull. That's what I get for judging a book by its cover! It has never failed to entertain me throughout once I started watching it. While it was short on romance it focused instead on other life lessons, indead that is what set it apart from other anime. Looking forward to the next part. 8/10
