Hey guys,
Firstly I know this has been done before but I haven't seen it in a while.
Why do you still watch a show?
Why do you drop shows?

Thanks!

If I'm interested in the plot or some of the characters or if it was recommended by friends and of course if it's good/if I like it.

I didn't drop any show yet but I paused some if they got too boring, if I didn't have much time or if some others showed up and I wanted to watch them.
Time is money, but money won't turn back the clock.

neat characters are what makes me want to keep watching/marathon shows. the show can have amazing art and plot but if none of the characters are interesting to me, i'll watch it at a snail's pace.

I only really drop shows if they're long and I didn't enjoy the first five or so episodes, or if the show makes me feel gross.

I rarely drop shows. Even if it's bad i'll generally finish unless the show has no redeeming factors in my opinion.

I of course will continue to watch anime so long as it holds my interest. I watch it BECAUSE it is different from western media. It is my tastes and for that I press on.

There are rare cases though where I want to finish a bad show just so I can talk shit about it in the forums.

Well since my main reason for watching anime shows is taking a break from my hectic life, after about 2-4 episodes I can figure out if a certain show can do that or not :) I drop a lot of shows cause I put the character development and credibility over the actual plot.

I just finished Dennou Coil. The first say... ten episodes were interesting and very cute (which kept me going) though I didn't know what it would develop into

so, cute is really what kept me going. the characters and animation, though I had doubts. it didn't seem to be developing much :(

SO worth it, kicked in hardcore and turned into sheer awesomeness. SO glad I kept at it!

Usually because I want to see how the characters develop and or deal with stuff going on.

If I'm bored I drop it.

tbh, I really like anime with really awesome plots but, I guess as long as I enjoy watching it, I'm gonna watch it till the end. I don't just drop stuff.

1. Animation
2. Pace

I'm totally not good with bad artwork/animation. Good or bad is too subjective, though. If it hurts my eyes, I'll drop it.
I like fast-paced anime, no fillers, straight to the point. Kind of the reason why I prefer watching movie than tv series.

I never really drop shows, but just put them on-hold, say I'll finish them someday, but never do.

Anyway, I typically drop one when something in it pisses me off, like Planetes suddenly including a romance when it did not need it or Tiger and Bunny pulling out a dumb plot twist, which, while being well-done, I just knew would annoy me, and Robotics;Notes pulling off the whole "father who disagrees with his kid's dreams" thing, which is one of my least favorite plot points. Other times I just drop it as I lose motivation to watch it.

I tend to finish what I start, though some shows were harder to finish then others. See Death Note. Amazing first half, painful second half, and good ending.

I have yet to drop a show. I have a bad habit of seeing things through to the end even if I don't like them. The only thing I've dropped was the Kimi no Iru Machi manga and that was because I just couldn't handle how big of an ass the MC was.

What's the point of asking? It just comes down to whether you think it's worth spending your time watching

If I watch a horrible anime I get pretty pissed off wasting my time. So I drop the anime instead of people

The only circumstance I will drop something/put it on hold in is if it is over 100 episodes and I have absolutely no interest in it. The only exception being Code Geass.

I continue to watch a show if it entertains me. I have yet to drop anything but I'd imagine if I did it would be because it lost any and all remaining appeal.

I'm a completionist (although I don't know if I will be able to catch-up with Crayon Shinchan and Doraemon since I both watched those shows during my childhood).

I watch and finish them so that I would be able to judge it properly as well as not to have regrets (except for wasting time if the show I watched was long and appalling but so far not happened to me...)

I don't know what makes me want to always continue to watch an anime :3, but if in exception the anime makes me want to throw my iPod really badly because of utterly bad areas, then I will drop it.

You dropped Code Geass!??? Holy hell. Why? It is one of the best shows in the past decade. The ending for me, is the best and most FULFILLING ending in any show that I have completed. What were your reasons for dropping it? I am really curious....

I will watch it if I find the characters interesting or the story entertaining. I will drop it if they aren't or if I find the show too annoying or offensive.

If it has a somewhat unique plot -> If not, it has to have a good character -> If not, it has to AT LEAST blow some air through my nose if it is a comedy -> If not, drop that shit like a brick.

I'm a completionist, so if I start an anime, I'll probably finish it, unless the anime is super awful. With that said, some shows will take me much longer to finish then others...
