Again, why police don't even bother to inspect prisoners and make them wear prison robe? That way old lady wouldn't think that they're going to a concert; Lupin could say that the concert is a masquerade, though

In fiction, I always see the endearing, absent-minded old woman archetype.

I do find it hard to believe that girls and women can grow up to be these old ladies who seem so oblivious of what's happening around them. Maybe someone here knows a person here that fits that exact profile?

Better than the Coen brothers' version.

In which Lupin helps the elderly widow of his old mentor. Yeah, the old woman was pretty oblivious to believe Lupin and friends were classical musicians, but the degree of effort they went through to keep up the act was sweet. Even Fujiko got her hands dirty:

The producers liked this sequence so much they used it twice over the span of a few minutes! XD Speaking of classical music, we got yet another episode revolving around it among this recent batch. Smart move to make Zenigata help too after being betrayed by the corrupt cops. And it all worked out well enough in the end. :)

I wonder how it'll work in real life
The husband is a thief and he died, leaving his wife alone not knowing he was a thief
Probably they'll still take all the stolen goods
But I'd feel bad for the wife :(

Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture with no cannons? Blashphemy!

So in the end Piccolo's wife will never know the truth

God, what a naive old lady, rather normal, tho and kinda adorable how Lupin and his gang were pretty nice in this episode.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I loved this, Schubert Goemon, Mozart Jigen, Tchaikovsky Fujiko, and finally Beethoven Lupin, huh. xD I'm glad Lupin, with the help os his friends and Zenigata, was able to protect the property of the man who looked after him back when he was starting. I know it was all stolen stuff, but at least that sympathetic old lady will be able to keep on believing her late husband, if she really does believe it in the first place, and the corrupt chief won't have it.

the old lady heavily reminds me of Granny (Tweety-Pie's owner) from Looney Tunes.

Regarding the old lady, she is a tad senile.

What a kooky and fun episode.
Opinions are opinions, and differing opinions can co-exist. 🙂 But I don't do debate, life's too short to spend time debating people.
