I like this cow machine :P

Tomako was funny as hell this episode. So I guess this episode focuses on cows. Oh boy now I'm getting hungry.

Oh and dreams are hard to follow~ Mikage's father was fun to watch also imo :p

After seeing so many instances of death, time to see an instance of birth....
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Tamako terrifies even her parents, "shikkari" indeed :)

Since that's become sort of a cliché I was relieved that the Gigafarm isn't made out to be this huge evil corporate empire that feasts upon the blood of the animals it tortures to death and the tears of small family farmers it puts out of business. At the end of the day they are also farmers, just with a different scale of operations and different priorities.

That scene at the river with the horses was really sweet. Even the foal could sense the sexual tension lol

Oh haha nice observation :) But it seems like Hachiken is grossed out by both, but still, he came to like the calf. It was definitely cute with its sparkling eyes. Tamako and her dream of taking over the farm because of moeny, so different from Mikage. I like what Mikage said to Hachiken about how he's like a horse, because horses are shy, they are observant. Well Hachiken isn't shy, but he's definitely observant, and I kind of understand what he meant when he said that it's sad to see that when some people have dreams, they aren't going to move towards it.

It was very odd seeing Tamako's parents, her mom look like an exact replica of her, only skinny, and the dad is like a male version of her o_o

I could really relate to Haciken about what he said to Mikage, when you don't know what you want to do in life, you tend to envy others; I'm usually inspired by the goals that some people have, so to see them not accomplish their dreams is sad. I hope Mikage eventually tells her parents what she wants to do.

Bahaha Tamako's future plans XD

Man I might have to write a blog post about Silver Spoon analyzing Hachiken and his perspective after seeing this week's episode. There's just so much that would be criminally wasted on my usual "live blog" notes.

A visit to Tamako's place with a big farming area. Lot's of scenes that involves cows on how they were doing, especially on the calving part. The river scenes felt relaxing and how they became closer to each other, until the father just caught Yugo's attention.

As usual really nice episode :)

Loved the Tamako visit...Lol'd at the dog having the same genes too XDXDXD

Tamako Coup de dat was lol XD

The Birth of the cow and the CPR XD...Lol'd at how the cow didn't care about it's calves and was eating like nothing XD

Then the part with Aki and the horses was nice...then the dad XD...First a bear then her dad. It seems Hachiken will never catch a break hehe.

The talk about different kinds of love reminded me of Uchouten's last ep XD

Probably the best episode for me thus far. I got a glimpse of how different farms deal differently with cows, or livestock in general. It really depends on the viewpoints of the owners.

I also grew to respect Tamako a lot through this episode because of her passion-driven attitude, yet secretly having a caring personality. Indeed she's "down to earth."

I felt bad for Aki, who is being forced indirectly into something she doesn't want to do.

And Hachiken is starting to realize people shouldn't make the same mistakes he did, so that's why he felt mad about Aki giving into pressure.

Great episode :)

Best episode ever. Loved it.

The birth of life to everything was very fun to watch. Hachiken being all grossed out and being conflicted about life/death with the animals gives a great point of view to people that slaughter animals for meat. Not saying that because I'm vegetarian or anything. Cuz I eat fish and chicken. But still just watching is making me feel like I should give up eating meat all together.

LOL at Hachiken for the castration motion he does. :D Also Mikage's dad at the end.

Some people say Tamako's mother knows what's up, but it's wrong.
The way of Tamako's mother saying ara maa has more sexual meaning.

Anyway, do you know Japanese words UMANAMI?
It literally means the size is as big as horse's one.

It's time to play wheel of cattle!!!

Fun episode, Tamako was the shining star and that sexual tension at the end was the best moment. We're fast approaching the death of Pork Bowl, got my tissues ready. Summer break needs to never end so I never have to see that!

I like the OST.

I learned a lot from this episode, especially from Tamako, her family, and their awesome farm.

We witnessed death in the previous episode. Now it's all about giving birth.

Lol, Hachiken's getting compared to a horse. There was something he was about to say, but then Cockblock Daddy comes into play.

Not only do we have Pork Bowl, but now Beef Bowl joins Hachiken's animal gang.
I’m always searching for something, for someone. This feeling has possessed me I think, from that day… That day when the stars came falling.

Well, I already knew there are different kinds of farm practices...

The birth scene with the calf was gross. >___<
But the calf was cute, and all the effort into making it survive.

I really want Hachiken to talk it out with his family, it's something I really want to see. Same with Mikage.

Not as nice as the previous episodes.
Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

First uncensored vagina in anime outside of Hentai.
Can anyone confirm that?

Anyways, good episode. I'm giving it about a 50% chance that they will kiss by the end of the SECOND season. 0% chance that they kiss this season.

Yeah, the agricullture thematic is also quite original for an anime, and I think it does explore it quite well. I don't think it's mindblowing, but the anime is very pleasant so far.

Wonderful round about realism and cows
I like the Cow Merry go around and the birth of Beef Bowl

Hachiken checking out his mobile phone updates, but rarely doing anything with it is a shame

It's so sentimental, Hachiken drawing near Aki bit by bit
The comments about resembling an horse personality only spiked things up
Luckily Aki's dad came back on the right time
