| Edward: the cycle of life only goes one direction. all is one and one is all. surprisingly enough those words can be said in reverse order as well. not like it matters in their case XD that dude with the mask sure is a nice guy. not only did he look over them but he helped them figure out the riddle. oh what a generous person he is. |

| love the the quote "All is One and One is All" guess they had to experience Near Death state to realize what that means. poor rabbit :( but that's how survival is. and the mask guy which is the one that rode them in island, doesn't he look short when he's not wearing any mask?? finally that spying kid shows up. hope that kid doesn't do any fishy things. |

| That episode reminds me a little bit the serie Lost. The Others (just showing the feets), the flashbacks. Maybe a coincidence... =) |
| I like how they mixed up the present and the past in the island events, of course in the manga and Brotherhood the present part didn't happen .. they didn't actually went back to the island. but i liked it. great episode... and who the hell is that brat in the final scene ?! |
| lol easy food for the fox a tied down rabbit. funny how at first they couldn't kill the rabbit but they could watch how the rabbit got eaten alive by baby foxes :O i really liked how they mixed events in this episode i wonder who that kid is but i guess we will see that next episode. |

| That rabbit was so moe. I really like how this series explores alchemy and delves into the various concepts that comprise it. The philosophy of one is all, all is one. Not to knock Brotherhood, but I do prefer how this one focuses on the philosophical elements and deeper thoughts. |

| I'm sure that month on the island when they were kids was invaluable training. That developed their character, survival skills, and mindset in probably more ways than anything else they have ever done. That was a good move on sensei's part. It was cool to send them there again after finding out they tried to transmute their mother. Remind them about life and death and how it all connects in the life cycle. Pretty cool episode. |

| Pretty nice backstory episode, but at the same time these past few episodes are taking their toll and I'm getting a little bit bored waiting for some more story progression. That boy was kind of creepy at the end... -- 4/5 |
| This is an episode of transition, although this may not like, has its uses. Good building the subplot. The increase mysteries, who knows what lies beneath, I am not convinced the boy. |

| Now the Elric brothers are back on the island they were on when they trained. Obviously that was nostalgic for them and a good time to reminiscence. A wild bastard appeared! Oops, wrong series! |
| Good backstory of their training on the island. It shows the boys how everything in the world is connected and has its place, including themselves. Pretty rough to do that to young boys but Izumi seems more of a hands-on teacher anyway. The boy at the end does not show up in the manga, so this seems to be a different story line now. |
| This was a nice way of balancing between past and present. It definitely focused more on the former but I mean, more backstory time is cool to see. That kid looks super mysterious and interesting and I wonder what he's up to |
