I also listen to a fuckton off Japanese music because weeaboo.

Also, DRONESAUR, go back to /mu/

That's not what I was trying to say. It was more of a joke than anything, because it's so easy to tell /mu/ browsers apart from other last.fm profiles it's laughable, and his profile is an excellent example.

Didn't you mention listening mostly to post-rock, shoegaze, ambient, and drone? aren't those more or less the quadfecta of basic /mu/-approved taste?

The genre doesn't depend on the music I like. It depens more like on the track itself. I can like every genre - if the track is okay. But I mostly listen to soundtracks (games, anime, movies).
Time is money, but money won't turn back the clock.

I mostly prefer rap/hip hop over any other genre, but I basically listen to any song I like, doesn't matter what genre it is.

I never understood why people say they listen to "everything" when they most likely don't.
There's more than two or three genres of music, there's dozens upon dozens of genres and they have subgenres/styles that are distinct from each other.

What a way to open a thread lol, bringing out the heavy guns right away: Two Steps From Hell and Audiomachine.

I actually listen to a lot of that type of music, I got started with Globus/Immediate Music, then went on from there. X-Ray Dog is another good one, as well as Epic Score, there are a few more good studios besides those.

X-Ray Dog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-VFgXzLcFk

Epic Score: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQvZurab09o

Besides that I listen to a lot of Sabaton: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23Ft7TaywPw

- I also listen to pop music, whatever's on the radio
- classic rock
- new age
- heavy metal
- some industrial
- dance
- classical
- some rap
- hardstyle
- trance
- disco

I could go on and on. I listen to almost every type of music out there, or at least the majority of them. Why listen to one when there's so much good music out there to enjoy.

Probably since it's like a neutral response. Whenever anyone says that to me I just spam them with Passenger Of Shit and Hitlerbuttsecks and they usually don't like it and therefore what they said becomes invalid

Alternative/alernative rock bands such as Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, The Script, The Fray, and Bastille. Rock bands such as Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Linkin Park. A few electronic artists, mainly Zedd. Some j-rock (mostly from anime ^~^;), a little pop; not too much though.

Even though I like most genres in some way (rap, pop, classical if you count epic movie scores, metal, etc.), I'm mainly a sucker for country, rock and electronic-type music (dubstep, EDM, electro, house, you name it).
Southern-lover (yes, this includes rednecks) and Japanese-lover. How about that?

I listen to rock of all types... there are so many subgenres I can't even distinguish xD I'd say I mostly listen to alternative, garage, pop rock, punk rock, j rock, nu metal and I used to listen to metalcore until my ears got bored and I grew up xD.

I also like classical and jazz music and recently my sister successfully introduced me to folk metal (Eluveitie are great!) and celtic punk too.

Anything with a good rhythm, a clear melody and preferably a guitar or three. The genres I most associate with are rock and heavy metal but I do venture further afield as well.
My favourite bands are: Iron Maiden, Avantasia, Queen and ACDC.
Some of my current favourite music is more anime based. The openings to Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist are really good pieces that fit in to my general range of listening. However, I also really like the openings to Myself; Yourself, Lucky Star and Servant x Service.
The world’s not perfect, but it’s there for us trying the best it can. That’s what makes it so damn beautiful.

Well I listen to a large variety. I listen to some K-pop, most on the more rock side though... Chinese music, some Japanese techno (Vocaloid), Jawian music (Jack Johnson!), classic rock, alternative, little bit of Country, some anime OPs and closing songs, also some sound tracks.... I mostly like any type of music that's more rock based with a good drum beat and guitar part. I also really like music with a unique instrument in it that is not usually in most types of music like the violin, accordion, etc. I like songs with whistling in it too.
