Guess what, when i finally got a nice 4m it had just been discarded by my kamicha so my wait was kinda useless again. Then i got red 5s which i had to discard cause i would be furiten! Ton 2kyoku i managed to get tenpai but in tanki 5s, 4han dealer... nothing came. Losing these 2 games was like losing the whole game, after all even in the only game i won out of the 6 dora indicators i got only one dora. Next game a useless tile comes along... deal into dealer mangan! Finally Nan 4kyoku i didn't plan to go for kokushi it just happened while i had already quit the game and discarded all my inside tiles, don't think i would get tenpai anyway but good thing i didn't deal into your Daisangen :D |

Oorasu was me getting lucky with a riichi ippatsu chinitsu. However, it was not enough to grant me the first place. |

For the last many games i am .217 1st, .130 2nd, .217 3nd and .434 4th!!! moreover i go broke at a rate of .304! Been doing better in joukyuu though but can't get the fucking 3rd Dan although i got 700/800 a streak of losses got me below 300/800 To the game now, the big mistake is that 8pin discard (in Ton 2) that i reallised that it was on the dora range right after i did it and i listened to the horrifying sound of the deal in xD In Ton 1 i thought i had made the perfect suji trap keeping the 4 sou tanki wait but Kyuu managed a fast tsumo. In the last game it would be a parfect chance for Dai/Shousuushi but i had only pairs of nan, sha and pei but got to a honitsu 6man tenpai. But, as soon as Kyuu riichi'd knowing from my discards i was on a honitsu route and seeing that 2man of his, i just knew he was on a 3-6man wait. And then a Ton comes up, what should i do? I thought i should take my chances for the Yakuman but ...snap! Game Over! |

| My last days records for future reference on what's luck and what's not and how fucking lucky(or not ?) are some people in Tenhou A total of 1st:8 2nd:6 3rd:9 4th:16 In like 80% of the games riichi comes right after my wait/s is/are discarded and of course not only it's never discarded again or tsumo'd but in a great deal of the cases i get to deal in after that in single, closed, edge, hell waits etc in the most annoying of them i deal in ippatsu-hell wait after i pick up a tile i have already discarded twice! Even at times when i betaori like hell, guess what, it's tsumo time! By the time hanchan approaches South round i am already 4th though playing carefully or even with riichi every game in very nice hands. The main problem is that the stats are not balanced, meaning i don't get the same amount of good luck as well as bad luck for that would mean i move on forward constantly, but nooooo even though my gameplay advances and become better player things go slightly to the worse! I still believe that the Tenhou algorithm is the main factor behind this. While probability is a factor of equal chances in my 1885+853 games in ippan and 7447 lobbies respetively i have seen no such thing so the only way to gain rank is to play more and more and hope i will exhaust my bad luck algorithm in non ranking games! In many games i have really rage quit while there are games i was about to win and while i had no problem with my connection i dc'd unexpectedly and could only recover by realising i was dropped to 4th place. | Well, from what I see out of my "losing streaks" -- if I lose a game. I stop playing right then and there. Because, my mentality when falling into the despair of losing is no longer fitting for play. Thankfully, none of the hits were significant; and everyone stayed close to each other in terms of points. --- S 1-0: In that hand, I had a cock tease of a hand as it eventually became 1-shanten for either Ittsu or Sanshoku. With this one, I completely choked. Mentally, I was thinking to break the 7-9 man and get rid of those. I figured Ittsu was slightly less obvious than Sanshoku, in the event of opening it (if I need to). Instead, I destroyed the 8-9 pin and played into kamicha. Blah. http://i.imgur.com/YnEn3cb.png EDIT: Now I remember when I destroyed 8-9 pin. I looked up at toimen's call, and decided based on the number of live tiles needed to complete shuntsu. S 2-1: Later, I developed a chiitoi. However, I was not comfortable calling riichi with that. Not with a 6-man. S 4-1: I applied the suji trap here. Thankfully, it worked. W 1-0: Going 29,700 into West. Obviously, I did not need much to close out the game. The pinfu did just nicely. Basically, I rode out the South round and took the game. But man, those hits earlier. I did not like those. Had a gift of a hand in East 2 though. |

With the way the game was going, his lead was pretty much safe anyways. And I spent most of the game last, unable to produce points early. And normally, I don't post games that involves an inactive player. I hate that; but whatever, he left with a massive lead after an oya-baiman. Anyways, to secure second, I followed up a haneman, with some sick defense in S-3. After calling on three tiles, shimocha calls riichi - and I had to abandon by double nan, honitsu, chanta tenpai. Good thing too, as I drew the tiles he needed for the chiitoitsu. |

I didn't need to go ambitious. While shimocha made a run of his own midgame to take the lead away from me, I pushed hard for the last hand to take the win. It was interesting, that shimocha lost 20,000 directly to me and still managed to challenge me. |

I could have called the riichi, but opted not to. Quite honestly, I could have saved the hit on the other two; but instead, I took the first opportunity at the leader. Too bad that I did not call the riichi, but whatever. S 3-0: Critical moment, as I should have betaori'd completely. But no, I tried to develop the hand anyways. This could have cost me.
