| The countdown site for the anime adaptation of Kyoukai no Kanata revealed on Monday, August 5th that the series will premiere on Japanese television in October this year. The staff for the anime has also been announced on the site. Ishidate Taichi, who has worked on the storyboards and on key animation for projects like Clannad and Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid, is the director for the anime. Kyoukai no Kanata follows the adventures of Kanbara Akihito (who is half youmu and hence almost invulnerable) and Kuriyama Mirai, an underworlder who has the power to manipulate blood. Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| The art of this Novel is right up KyoAni's alley. They are made for each other. KyoAni is doing exactly what I've hoped them to do: release shows with higher frequency and diversification into different genres and audiences. Some people may be fine with the way KyoAni has been recent years, but the "boring" stigma is sinking in with fans and KyoAni knows it. Although they are taking baby steps at the time, conservative might be the right approach for them. I'm still waiting for the day when SoL tag is dropped Kyoani's series once again. This show will be one of KyoAni series that I seriously follow in recent years. Let's see how it turns out. Btw, with this frequency of release, I don't think this studio's animators can claim not staying late after 18:30 like everyone else in the industry anymore :) |
