Not here, but on ANN it's still tagged as Yuri (and "not-yuri")

If you do a Google search for "love lab shoujo ai" you will find a lot of results.
Definitely, a lot of apparently knowledgeable fans use the phrase "shoujo ai" ( or
shoujo-ai ) when talking about Love Lab. On the other hand, I cannot find any
"official" source which lists Love Lab as being "shoujo-ai". I guess we are now
all supposed to switch to using the term "Yuri". On the other hand, some other
lists of anime genres say that Yuri is Hentai whereas Shoujo-Ai has no graphical
sex. I think we are in the middle of a transition in popular usage.

Anime News Network certainly classifies Love Lab in an interesting way. I will let
other people here analyze their logic.

I would say this. If you have some reason to avoid Yuri then Love Lab is Yuri.
As soon as you have two girls holding hands, the alarm bells are going to go off.
Likewise, "Project A-Ko" (1986) offended people because of the perceived 3-way
Yuri relationship between the high school girls A-Ko, B-Ko and C-Ko. So a "just
for kids" edited version was created where every single hint of the supposed Yuri
relationships was removed. However, all of the ultraviolent fighting scenes were
deemed appropriate for children.

Well you say that . . . . . Indeed, I believe this is true for a knowledgeable adult.

On the other hand, what if you are 12 years old and your mom tells you not to
watch any anime of the _____ or _____ genres? In that case, the tags could be
a big deal. If your mom is a diligent parent and goes on-line and finds out that
ANN says that Love Lab is Yuri then you can't watch it. (Or perhaps your mom
will say that you HAVE to watch it.) I think these labels affect kids a lot.

Your mom might set up YouTube so that you can't watch anything with "Mild
Sexual Content". In that case, a 12-year-old can still watch all of the R-rated
movies that are illegally uploaded only to be taken down a week later. On the
other hand, Maria-sama ga Miteru is classified as "Mild Sexual Content". But
I have watched MariMite very, very carefully through four seasons and there is
no sexual content at all. The only IMPLIED sexual content is that Sachiko is
engaged to be married to her fiancé, and therefore we can guess that they will
have sex some day in the far-distant future.

Based on recent world developments, I think that these tags are going to get
more imporant.

I am going to laugh when everyone gets trolled next week. As I have been saying, I just don't see a romance anime, but rather a pure comedy / school sol. Last week people were trolled by the up-close shot of the female teacher. I don't think next weeks episode will be what everyone thinks it is, but hey, crazier shit has happened.

Personally i think it's more to do with people being short sided and insecure.
You said in a previous post that this might have been classified yuri/shoujo-ai because the girls where holding hands, but what does this say about the person that classified this as such.
People of the same gender holding hands doesn't imply anything even people of the opposite gender holding hands doesn't have to imply anything, yet some people immediately think of a relationship when they see something like that.

Homosexuality creates strong reaction from my experience it's mostly due to people being insecure either about their own feelings or how others might see them.
And because the are so insecure about it the start seeing things that aren't there even in the most innocent interactions between people such as holding hands.
If people want to see things that aren't there it might suggest they want them to be there so people with the biggest reactions might actually be gay themselves.

I don't know. I do see those tags. You mean the "genres", right? Just now I also
checked them for several anime series which I am familiar with. Who picks them?

Hi Cratex. Hey, thank you very much for that explanation. Just now, I have
been reading it very carefully and found it helpful and interesting. In fact, up to now
I never paid any attention to the MAL genres. I didn't know about the "popular tags".
I was unaware of the official list that defines all of the 20 or 30 official MAL genres.
Also, I had no idea about the process that exists on MAL. It was very enjoyable to
learn more about how it all works.

Riko sacrificed herself in order to accomplish her great plan.

Maki crossdressing and becoming Makio Maki was funny.

Nana and Momo seem to be part of a newspaper club or something.

And guys will appear in the next episode! There goes the yuri.

Episode from the double-speed, quiet and soporific initially, then lively and entertaining in the second phase. The Devil Wears always Sayo! XD
Plot that sees a glimmer of light in its evolution, this is a boon for an anime that I'm liking really, the Doga Kobo after scoring Yuru Yuri that was another bell'anime, had taken a slip with GJ-Bu, but with Love Lab has bounced back big time! : D
Animations not bad designs that suffer from occasionally organize small dips, but they are bearable. Great attention instead to the underwater world and the choices made with very beautiful design is the color of the characters and scenarios, which are finely drawn and sketched ever! * _ *

It was quite a somber moment for that girl who asked for advice. Looks like she was rejected pretty hard.

"I was naive. Not everything will go well." as said by Maki...

It really shows how much they still need to understand about love and how that even if you do everything right down to a science to attract someone, it can still go wrong. You can't calculate love. They are indeed, very naive when it comes to the concept of love. As I think many people are.

However, it looks like the girl will be ok because she is still keeping her head up and using her new information about the guy for future encounters. She's taking the positive out of a negative situation. I thought that was really admirable of her to not let her rejection get her down. Yup, she'll be just fine.

I hope that all these girls not only find their love, but stay strong during the many obstacles (including rejections) that will certainly come before that event.

Love isn't easy...

I have to say this was the best episode to date. I laughed a lot in it, especially with Riko going crossdressing.
My only issue is that an all-girl school doesn't allow it's students to date. That seems harsh.

There was a small error during this episode that I noticed.

When the four are sitting in the council room after the broadcast, camera facing the door, you see Rikos empty chair.
Then Riko comes in, the camera shows her point of view and the chair is suddenly gone.

Riko's plan was succeeded. Yet, she still put the heavy burden to get the plan in a good condition. So far so good. Funny moments always catch the time, and im surely enjoy it slowly. Sayo the troller keep annoying Riko, always be a center point for me. Both of them always be my favourite among this series, lol.

The others characters had a lot of improvement. Like Maki, she can now slowly received more adjustment on teacher view. Not always be a good girl, typical boring student. Thats nice. Suzu, still funny with her shyness attitude. Be glad that cute moment with Makio satisfied my mind for a while xd And for Enomoto senpai, thats some beautiful hair color, as always. More importantly, the lesson of the love experiment keep going, and soon reach another difficult situations.

Thats all my opinion about this episode. Keep it up. The story felt a bit down, while everything gone into a great moment. Lets see when the problem gone wild like the next episode.

the addition of the green hair, red hair in ep 4,5 added so much dynamics and interactions to the series.

aside : Ep4,5 also had a very strong oregairu vibe (animewise, oregairu s1 aired at around the same year as love lab) : there is this independent, doing everything by herself black-haired character that is highly regarded by other students; there is a group of people that take requests from people; there is the process of these people trying hard to figure out a solution; there is this sudden brink of inspiration coming out of an ordinary scenario; there is this big brain character that takes the role of giving out a grand and nearly flawless plan, fully utilizing her understanding of every other person's strength and weaknesses; but since the plan involves sacrificing herself's own well-being, the people that are close to this mastermind got mega mad, and they have this again "bro you always do things yourself, gotta trust and rely" and then the "no you, bro" type of heart-warming, caring for others conversation. personally, i think this is pretty interesting.
