Not quite sure if that's what you were asking.... you may want to look at my minimal script's check_cache() function for a simple example. That just checks how long it's been since the last one saved, but in other scripts I've actually saved a copy of the downloaded rss and compared for changes -- I don't like updating unless it's absolutely necessary. |
