| Has anyone else noticed that on the cover, and throughout the pages, there are tiny white specks on the artwork? I can understand if it was for the background in a starry sky, or in a field where the wind is blowing dust about, but it's also on the pages of them indoors or just doesn't seem to belong. Sometimes it really ruins the good artwork and takes away the smooth consistency it could have. I assume they !@#$ed up during the scanning* and some dust or crap got in between the scanner and the artwork. This just doesn't look right (most of the time) and simply doesn't feel like it belongs. Problem can easily be fixed via Adobe Photoshop or fix and rescan images. If it was intentional...it was a poor choice for the illustrator and/or editor(s). *scanning from the manuscript and/or digitizing it for print...not scanlations/raw scans on the internet. Look closely enough and you'd see it's on both Japanese and Yen Press's English versions on the covers, throughout the manga pages, as well as the art books you may see online. |
| I've seen loads of artwork for this around and thought I'd start reading the manga. It gives a nice setting so far and the travelling salesman seems likeable. Introducing Horo at the end was a good entrance, intriguing mystery beauty! |
