 According to an upcoming issue of Young Magazine, manga "Initial D" will end in issue 35 which will be released on July 29th. The manga started serialization in 1995 and has been running for 18 years. So far, 46 volumes of the manga have been published. The series was adapted into a TV anime in 1998. Since then, 5 seasons, 5 OVAs, 1 anime movie, and 1 live-action movie have been made. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| It's about time. Lots of people will look on this and other endings as a sad thing. In reality, the closing of a series that has gone on for so long is a good thing. When it's not getting the axe, that means the creator feels the story has run its course and its time to move on to something new--and perhaps better. Too many times the community is faced with a series that never gets completed. It drags on too long, plot becomes stupid, the creator moves on or dies, and so many people are dissatisfied. C'est la vie. You had a good run, Initial D. |

| It's always so sad when a long running manga comes to an end. :( I know it's a good thing that it actually has an ending, but Initial D was basically a given thing ever since I started to get into manga and anime. |

| Wow, after eighteen years? ours, this manga certainly last long. This gives a certain sadness, is not it? I hope that have left good memories to fans, I will certainly check out the anime later. |
