Clubbing is too dangerous where I'm at and the ones that aren't have a male age limit of 30+.

I think bars are fine, you can go there have a few beers and talk with your friends and maybe meet some cool people.

My impression of clubs are pretty much the fact that there are too many sweaty middle aged men trying to pick up 18-20 year olds and dancing without their shirts on and stuff, also it is way too loud and you can't have a proper conversation with anyone.

I'd hate the noise and sheer amount of people.

I can't go clubbing, I'll get arrested for assault or murder.

I once went clubbing, there were no survivors.

No, those live in Arctic and Antarctica regions.

Don't worry that just means you're like 50% of the people there.

I spend most of my time at clubs either in a queue to get in/get a drink/go to the toilet, shouting over the top of music and pretending to hear what the other person says, and then giving up and spending most the night in the smoking area because it's the only place I can actually move and not get leered at by creepy guys. Therefore, no, I'm not a fan. Much prefer pubs/bars, there's a much more chilled out vibe and it's not 90% weird pervs standing around the dancefloor.

I go clubbing occasionally when I want a change, but I'm happy just being in a pub on a night out usually.

Hate it. I hear myself agreeing to Dwight Schrute's We need a new plague whenever I'm forced to go clubbing with my friends.

Private club? sounds fancy, the only clubs where I live are pretty lowbrow.

I used to go clubbing, was all the rage, probably still is...
Oh those Saturday night Valley runs, saw me in a skirt or two every once and a while!

Now, i like my peaceful nights in, drinking with friends and not have my ears ringing in the morning!

Though, I always hit the pub with the blokes. Where the pace of the music has a guitar and drums included! Drinks are cheaper at a pub than in a club, and there's no queuing!

No, I actually hate it. Why would I pay higher prices for an environment where I can't talk to anyone because the music (which I also hate) is too loud? This basically includes everything I dislike. Wasting money, bad music, no conversations and hundreds of people who enjoy these activities. I give it a try every now and then when my friends talk me into it, but I never end up enjoying myself.

I'd rather go to a pub where possibly the music isn't 100% bass and electronics, where the drinks are affordable and there's no entry fee. There you can get drunk and have fun but also, you know, talk.

My main problem is that the stupid club music makes me nauseous. And you can't do much beside 'dancing' to this horrible music. If there were clubs who played the music I enjoy I'd be there very often, because I actually enjoy moving to music, but I know that won't happen because the audience for that is way too small especially in my country/city.

Overall the important and enjoyable thing when I get drunk are the people I get drunk with and if I can't spend my time talking and having fun with them why do it in the first place? And that's exactly what happens in clubs. Pubs, someone's home, outdoors, whereever you can think of I will enjoy getting drunk, but not clubs.
I probably regret this post by now.

No, but I'll occasionally go if my friends want to. I much prefer bars, as others have mentioned.

I've only gone a few times and I don't really like it but I don't hate it either. I'm usually really tense and there try to be more open and relaxed, but it's hard even with alcohol. Mostly I just sit/stand somewhere and watch other people and try to think what's going on in their heads. It seems like I'm watching animal planet or sth.

It's not that bad.I go clubbing at least once a month-some loud music and a little vodka or whiskey induced dancing isn't as horrendous as you put it to be.
