| I just finished Macross Plus and I am not happy with how this ended. Now I am not sure if I share the same specifics with everyone here who mentioned that the ending had 'no closure', my issue is that the aftermath of this is far bigger than just the relationship status between Myung and Isamu. Its certainly not a happy ending for anyone in this regard. Guld is dead, Isamu with Yang are getting court martial and Myung better get her lawyers to dissolve her from any responsibility regarding Sharons take over. Speaking of, I hope this take over has some serious implications for the upcoming entries as well, as this was a direct attack on the military and its people during a live event. I am currently chronically going through this series, with exception Macross Zero that I watched before Macross Plus, and I am really concerned that this event won't matter in the end despite how big it was. Surely with how this AI compromised the entire fleet, the personal and its weaponry on the 30th anniversary should now be seen as a big push against AI in the next entries as how dangerous it became. Its a 7/10 for me, even reaching 7.5, because how this has decent cast and wonderful presentation. But man, I wish the story wasn't this unpolished. P.S. I'm not gonna bother to explain how convenient Guld self-memory block was for the plot or how Sharon operates for and against her own mission as those are self explanatory. |
