I hope there isn't a thread like this already..

So when you watch anime, do you watch many series at one time and go back and forth from one to the other, or do you just sit and watch them from episode 1 to the end (or as far as you can go)

I understand that if you follow anime on a weekly basis its pretty hard to watch them all at once, :P

Personally, once I start an anime I need to finish it.... if i find it very good. Even when i'm following current anime i still have anime shows i'll watch inbetween where i'll just pretty much watch the whole anime in one or two sittings. Or, i'll wait for most of the episodes to come out before I have a day where i watch all of them at once. :)

The last two marathons I did were Gintama and Fullmetal Alchemist. For long series like that, I prefer watching one anime and do a marathon of it until the end. This way will get me in the mood, and it's easier to focus in one story at a a time. If the series successfully made me sit tight in my computer chair, I go all the way. \(; ^o^)/

I also like varieties. If I'm not comfortable (well, maybe for mediocre shows) I usually watch something else and put it on-hold for a little bit.

I don't really like marathoning shows. Something around 6 is the max number of episodes I watch of one particular show in a row.

I try not to rush things as I normally forget some key details and parts once I've finished it.

As with my Bleach marathon I found myself returning to watch the series again because I'd forgotten some parts, it all becomes a blur.

If I'm marathoning, one to two tops. In smaller doses, anywhere from one to six, if not more.

unfortunately i buy anime almost every week so i can be watching many series at a time. The nice thing is that most DVD releases are every other month so they are pretty spaced out. Right now im in the process of watching

I take time (need for 20-episode-series about one or 2 months)
because I think: if the anime is really fast finished, then it's the fun, too^^

but I look series under 20 episodes 'till the end XD

I can only focus on one anime at a time, sadly enough. it's different for downloads, though, because i'm not watching them that very moment. :P

I bought a bundle of Kyou Kara Maou DVDs and i've only watched 4 DVDs of it. i boutht them last month, i haven't watched the rest of them yet. T__T maybe i'd be better off selling them. it's possible that i might. if i don't watch them by December, i'll probably sell them and buy manga...or my OCD might kick in and i'll keep them for the hell of it or something. <___<;

It depends on the show. There are some series where I can watch a whole bunch of things at once, and then there are some that I can tell right away that I will become too wrapped up in the series, so I put those on hold, collect all the episodes, and then watch as much as I can at once. Less painful that way, as I can be impatient when there are cliffhangers :D I am watching a bunch of things at once right now.

Everytime a new season starts, I overload myself. By halfway through the season, only a handful, but I try to watch the others every now and then or wait for the batch. Although, last season had a bunch of short shows so I was watching quite a few at a time.

As for my Watching list, I obviously don't watch that many. I'm just too lazy to move them.

I watch like 7 at a time, more or less. I just can't seem to stop donwloading anime so I watch episodes from them all xD. A little messy I know but sometimes i decide to marathon something 'til the end... last time I did it was with TTGL: 17 episodes in a row. =P

Well I always have a lot of currently airing series going since those are easy to keep up with, and usually around 2-4 finished series. It's way too hard to just burn through a whole series without watching anything else unless I get really into it (which is rare).

I never marathon. I just can't handle it with all the other things I have to do in my life. The biggest marathons I've done were 5-15 episodes of Naruto or Bleach a day.

At the moment I have about 15 on my currently watching. The majority of it is Fall and Summer anime, but there a couple finished series. (TTGL and Inuyasha)

Unless its a brand new show, I marathon it. Usually 7-10 episodes per day if it's a good series. After I'm done I usually take a break for a couples of days or until I can find a new series that interests me. I try to limit myself to 2 new series to watch as they air in Japan, so I can stay involved in the story and find myself juggling between many different characters and story lines.

In former times i'v been watching one series, end it, and take another, but i found it borring. Now i'm watching around 8 ongoing series at the same time and, from time to time (when i have that time :) ) i watch some ended series in 2-3 sessions.

I watch currently airing shows whenever it's subbed.
and I usually pick up a completed anime on friday and finish it over the weekends.
longest marathon was 50 episodes of bleach... they were all fillers which nearly killed me at the end.

Yeah, it depends of the anime and if it's over or not.
If the first show is fine, I do a marathon and watch the full anime in 2 or 3 days (it also depends of work and life).
But when first is a bit boring, I watch it later.

I watch the currently airing ones when they're subbed but in terms of series that are already finished, I usually watch one at a time. I can't watch more than one at the same time, especially if they're on completely different genres. It's like trying to watch Ghost in the Shell and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei at the same time. It's weird, for me at least o_o

I usually have 5-6 at a time. If its short series i prefer small doses(1-3 episodes at once) but i prefer marathoning if its like 30 or 100 episodes long. ^^

I usually try not to let it go over 10 total with about the half of it being currently aired ones. For instance, now I'm watching 10 anime shows 6 of which are ongoings. Also I never drop an anime once I started it even if it's not quite to my liking -- it's just in this case it takes me a really long time to finish it (quite possibly putting it on-hold many times over in the process lol). XD

Between currently airing shows, old shows that haven't been fully fansubbed, fully fansubbed shows that I haven't finished yet, licensed shows I watch one disc at a time via the library, dvds that I bought without seeing the show, and whatever I feel like rewatching...

... too many.

oh, these little earthquakes

It was around 25... but now that I'm in university I have trouble keeping up with 3. Though I do go for a marathon at the anime club every 3 weeks or so.

I'm constantly putting series on pause and watching others, so I'm usually watching 30-50 series at any given time. I watch at least 13 episodes or so of anime most days, though, so it's a little more manageable that way.

I usually have around 9 shows in my "watching" list, but more than half of those are new at times. Otherwise I try to juggle between 2-3 completed shows at a time. I rarely marathon unless it's a DVD (in most cases I borrow/checkout dvds so I have a due date and such).

I'm usually only watching maybe 3 shows at a time... If its not some crazy long show I tend to wait until a series has finished airing and is fully subbed then I watch it at my own pace. I guess I just like knowing I have the next episode if I'm left with a cliffhanger.

Right now I'm watching 35 anime series, and about 20 of them are on-going series.
I try to watch at least 5-6 episodes a day. Would be more if I had the time.

My currently watching list is a mess, filled with shows i started and have got to finish, but just dont have enough time... Out of them im really only watching around 12, meaning i watch at least 1 ep of the anime series a week (or i think, u know something around there...), I really should just watch batches and marathon them, instead of following new shows... That way i can avoid watching meh shows and only good or above, and my currently watching list wouldnt be a mess, but whatever... I like discussing new eps of new shows with people so i cant help it :P....

If im watching a completed series i only watch 1 usually, 3 at most... i like to watch them from ep 1 til the end. (unless i get bored of it so then i hop in between 2-3 series :P)

I've seen other lists with about 50 currently watching seris. I dunno how anyone can watch that many at a time. I like to watch about 5 to 10. If I complete some, then i go to some of the on-hold seris to takes its place. Eventually I'll get to my 80 something dropped anime. *heh*
