It was painful to watch. It's a comedy show, but I failed to laugh. It would've been better if it was a 5 or 15 min episode.
I never thought it was possible for there to be an anime that can make me fall asleep...

At 11:09 they show a photo of five girls, and I assume these are the five main
voice actresses. I recognize the back-left as the voice actress for Botan ( Sae
Aiuchi / 相内沙英 ). I have never seen any other anime series where the faces
of the voice cast were shown, with the exception of Lucky Star where Minoru
Shiroishi often appeared live during the closing credits. The others I am
Front-right: Natsuki (Ibuki Kido 木戸衣吹)
Front-left Karin: (Mitsuki Yūna 結名美月)
Back-center: Sakura (Miharu Kobayashi 小林美晴)
Back-right: Crea (Ayaka Senbongi 千本木彩花)

Does it have a lot of references ... ?
Yes, it does. However, the references are most often to very, very obscure things
which only Japanese people would know about. So it tends to seem random or
boring to fans outside of Japan. It could be good for those anime fans who enjoy
a major challenge and want to learn more about Japan.
I would not characterize it as a parody anime, at least not in the ordinary sense.
Too much screaming coming from main heroine.
Well, it's interesting that you say that because ...
... it turns out that Natsuki is not the main heroine. In fact, she is not important
at all. It was only in Episode 1 where they fooled us into thinking that she was
the MC. Ironically, her face is not even shown on the cover for Volume 1 of the
BD/DVD! Natsuki does become less noisy in later episodes.

The director was completely inexperienced when he started working on this series.
As a result, the first few episodes have some flaws. Unfortunately, those issues
attracted a lot of criticism. However, he learned very quickly and the quality quickly
became excellent. Unfortunately, many viewers will be turned off by episodes 1
and 2. My suggestion: Jump directly to Episode 4 and watch the rest of the series.
If you love it, then go back and watch the first three episodes.

Hi AO968. What Sakura wrote on the blackboard is
pronounced: kitaku daiichi
帰 return (ki)
宅 home (taku)
第 number (dai)
一 one (ichi)
You could translate the phrase as:
" Going Home Above All! "
in other words, going home is the best part of the day.
But you can see that Sakura did not write the character 第. She wrote
something a lot simpler. It is an abbreviated form of 第. That is because
第 requires so many strokes of the chalk. It is normal to use abbreviated
forms such as this in handwriting.
If you look around the club room, you can see that they normally have a
framed calligraphy hung on the wall which has the same phrase. Basically,
this is their club motto.
Oh, and taku (宅) is the "taku" in "otaku".
