| It's a shame. I like a good handfull of things in this episode but the mc is so annoying. Not in the actually annoying way but more the "in your face loli" kind of way. I really can't stand it. |
| This seems to have somewhat of a similar premise (or idea/concept) as the Arc of a Scythe book series which I love, but I felt like there was something about the setting that could've been different or expanded upon in an interesting, intriguing way, so I really like that this has a similar idea in a different way (which also means that I'll need to read up on the LNs once I'm done watching, so with the second and third AOAS books, I'll have a lot more reading to do!). Solid start and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes! |

| So far, Hambart appears to be an unhinged serial killer who slaughtered a town for no apparent reason, so I'm hoping there was more to the town Ai was living in that justified such an action. There also seems to be an attempt on Hambart's part to deceive Ai, by convincing her she isn't a gravekeeper for some reason, despite the fact that Ai was visibly shown sending off the dead — something only gravekeepers can do. Otherwise, wouldn't Hambart have buried the villagers himself, instead of relying on Ai to do it? Well he praises another chick that just showed up as an example of a true gravekeeper, so I imagine she's his lover or wife? Hopefully these mysteries are unraveled eventually. |
